THE FOLLOWING IS A REVIEW OF DR BLAIR: We have Dr. Blair, who is also the owner, and she is incredibly thorough. From day one with our puppy GSD, we felt welcome. All of our concerns were addressed, as Dr. Blair shows a broad range of knowledge and provides excellent advice. We spayed our puppy at 7 months in which she did NOT receive an infection (which is the best indication of a thorough, clean, surgeon, who in this case was Dr. Blair). As someone (myself) who use to work hand-in-hand with surgeons, I've seen how many Dr.s have little regard for being as sterile as possible. Our puppy did however suffer diarrhea, lack of appetite, and a mild bleeding disorder, which Dr. Blair provided successful cures for all. Dr. Blair is kind and doesn't waffle on advise (Meaning she tells you exactly what she feels is best). THE FOLLOWING IS A REVIEW OF THE STAFF: The staff is great, loves smiling and playing with our puppy. They are cognizant of being gentle yet firm with our puppy and they too provide great advise. We had issues with crate training in the beginning and a staff member recommended a wire crate instead of the plastic. I didn't think it was good advice as all I had read before said "Get a plastic Crate". She was spot on. Turns out our puppy loves looking around while being in her crate and our crate training woes disappeared instantly. At 4 months, our pup had an issue in which another DR. (cant remember the name) was spot on with the diagnoses.

love this hospital! Everyone is always very respectful and kind! Easy to schedule an appointment with. Always on time! Doctors are friendly and sweet and loving towards my pets. I even had not been charged once when I had a question about my pets growth on the foot. The doctor looked at it, took care of it quickly and let me leave without charging for the visit, because it was quick and easy. I've never thought that this kind of service is even available anywhere. I keep recommending St. Francis Hospital for animals to everyone I know who has pets. Love you guys!!!

From their kind comfort during and after the death of our first dog, to their enthusiastic welcoming of our crazy new Border Collie, everyone at St. Francis is professional and helpful and absolutely wonderful. My kids get mad at me when I schedule an appointment during their school day, because they love coming to the clinic. I live in Highland Park, where there are many vet clinics to choose from, but I choose to drive to St. Francis. I trust the docs and staff completely.

I have a Wheaten terrier, who, like many of this breed, has allergy issues. I have found everyone at St. Francis to be compassionate, professional, and very skillful in dealing with my complicated dog. Dr. Blair is the person I've worked with the most, and she is very skillful and compassionate. She follows up and listens to my concerns, and always seeks the best for my dog Livie. I am very grateful to have St. Francis Animal and Bird Hospital to get the best care for my Wheaten. Without hesitation I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good care for their pet.

I first came to St. Francis because they were one of two vet clinics that dealt with parrots & really knew how to treat them & handle them. They also had a connection with The Raptor Center & conferred with them about unusual/difficult cases. St. Francis is very generous in working with rescues. After working with Cause for Paws at their adoption event at St. Francis, I decided to have St. Francis as my veterinary clinic. Everyone from front desk, techs to vets are very upbeat, welcoming & attentive. No routine exam is hurried. Also they respect my wishes about vaccinating & help me make financial choices within my budget. They inform but do not come down on me if I have another opinion. HIgh quality veterinary care by compassionate staff.
