Being trick to a wellness plan. I had my husky there for a check up, vaccination and they asked me if I would like to enroll to the plan because of the free neuter benefit. However, when I enrolled him in, they told me that my dog is already an adult. so it has to be an additional $250 plus the $150 for the extra deep looking for his testicle. The staff was very friendly I am sure. But tricky too ! Please be careful of the wellness program and be sure to check if your pet is able to be fixed for free within the plan.
Dr. Schwartz and his caring staff are wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend him! They are all so wonderful there and I felt confident bringing my dog to them and leaving him in their care.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and caring. The doctor was knowledgable yet approachable...I didn't feel silly asking questions and felt that my cat was safe in their care.
I've heard that Banfield Pet Hospitals can be hit or miss as far as quality service. Prior to March of this year I had only used Banfield (not Brentwood) for grooming services, and when I did, the employees were rude, abrupt, and impatient with "difficult" pets. They also lost my dog's leash more than once, even though it had my dog's name on it. Eventually they found the leash, but it was frustrating to have to make extra trips. So when I was looking for a new vet after moving, I was wary about going to a Banfield. I went to the Brentwood Banfield on the recommendation of a friend who's a vet tech. She said the Brentwood Banfield is "the only one in the St. Louis area worth going to." After our experiences there, I can at least agree that it's a Banfield worth going to. My dog visited this Banfield three times, and while at first I was taken aback by seeing a different vet every time, they were all very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, and understanding of my financial situation. It was obvious that they reviewed Tasha's records and they were clear about treatment options. My dog was suffering from kidney failure, and eventually I had to have her put to sleep. The vet who saw her on her last visit (a blonde-haired female, whose name escapes me at the moment) was very caring, understanding, and compassionate. I had also taken out the Banfield Wellness plan on Tasha's first visit. Considering the treatments and tests Tasha needed due to her kidney failure, this saved me a lot of money. Had she been healthy and able to have a teeth cleaning, I'm sure I would have taken advantage of that option of the plan as well. When I had her put to sleep, all I had to do was contact Banfield the next day, and they cancelled the Wellness plan with no further balance due. In the short time I had the plan, I saved several hundred dollars compared to what I would have had to pay had I not taken the Wellness plan. When I inevitably get another dog, I will absolutely come back to the Banfield Pet Hospital in Brentwood, and I will most likely take out the Wellness plan.
Our pets are like our four-footed family members. We have been going to the Brentwood Banfield ever since they opened. We love the care that is lavished on our pets. Tom Schwartz is a wonderful vet: knowledgeable, skilled, empathetic and down-to-earth. The nurses are super and possess "animal whisperer" skills. They know how to calm nervous pets and gently handle angry pets - my calico can be feisty. I definitely recommend this animal hospital.
