I have spent a great amount of time today searching for a new veterinarian since I just moved to the area. After reading the Google reviews and checking out the website I decided to call this place because it appeared to be just the kind of place that I was looking for. I simply expected to receive friendly and knowledgeable assistance over the phone and I hoped to set a first time appointment for my dog. Well. Whoever answered their phone sounded like they had no clue what the price of an initial visit was and when I requested a ballpark figure on a preventive dental treatment I was told "No". I said no? And she stated that there are no estimates on dental until the doctor sees the dog. Rude!!! Dear Academy Animal Hospital, the person answering your phone is the voice of your establishment and from the way I was just treated I would never consider doing business with you. You will NOT be seeing my dog. Have a nice day.

Love Academy Animal Hospital and Dr. Michelle Cahill. We were new to the area and first we took our cat to another vet. The vet at the other place was anything but nice and was rough when handling my baby. I must admit my Siamese is anything but personable but being rough with her is only going to upset her more. So, I was so happy to find Academy and could not believe how amazing she was with Furball and seemed to put Furball at ease while being kind and understanding of Furballs behavior which I have never seen before. I would recommend Academy Animal Hospital to anyone and this is my cat's forever vet based on our experiences..

We have been beyond happy with Academy Animal Hospital. We have a sphynx cat who has had heart problems her whole life. We see a feline cardiologist in Columbia MO, so I was nervous to choose a local vet, but feel we made the perfect choice in Academy. They have dealt with our Dr. in Columbia when seeing our cat, which to me made a Huge difference. So many vets would feel their opinion was the only right one and not be willing to seek advice or opinions from another Dr. Being humble & truly caring for the animals & not just the Money has helped us keep our cat healthy and safe. We also have another cat who is seen there as well with no health problems, and they have never tried to push any procedures etc. that would just be about the money, so again I feel confident that everyone in this office is there for the health of our animals.

We have gone to Dr. Cahill for a few years. She was with another pet hospital before buying this one. We followed her here because she is the most caring and knowledgeable vet I have used in the area. She treats my elderly lab with respect and kindness, my poodle loves her, our elderly ill cat spent his last moments under her care. And our new kitten, I am sure, will be in good hands with her. Her staff is caring and kind and have been very helpful.
