We took our two Shih Tzus in for grooming. We have used Paws for over two years. Never had a problem. When my wife arrived to pick up Major and Chief Major acted very indifferent. When she arrived home, Major had blood all over the car seat. The groomers had not only severely left razor burns, but nicked him on his belly and private parts. The vet side was wonderful and told us they would see him, with no cost to us. Will never use the groomers again.

I boarded my dog here while I was in the process of moving. I was quoted $13 dollars per day and agreed to that price. I had a family member pick my dog up upon their return to Joplin. When I was told they charged $140 dollars, I knew there had to be a mistake. Looking at the bill, they performed an EXAM, administered several adult shots (several which she already had) including Rabies Vaccine despite wearing her CURRENT RABIES Tag, and boarding was $15 per night (for 4 nights - $60). I never consented nor was informed nor contacted about any of these services. Upon calling, they refused to refund the money. I have boarded dogs and cats for many years across many states and Paws Veterinary Clinic in Joplin, Missouri is the biggest scam I have ever run into. They subjected my dog to needless vaccinations she already had, never tried to contact me, and ripped me off. I can't beleive such a well put together store front here in Joplin is running a such a scam. I thought surely there was a mistake or they would be discuss what happened and that was not the case. This reaction solidified the experience as a scam for me. I wouldn't take any animal there. If they are willing to scam me out of money, there's no telling what they might be doing my precious animals. *In response to the Google review below, Dr. Cahill no longer works at this facility.
