Let me just preface this review by saying that we used to take our pets to a Banfield in Kansas where we had consistently great service. So I don't think the problem is us. We were huge advocates for Banfield and their wellness plans. Until we started going to the Ward Parkway location. We've gone to this location on Ward Parkway over the past year since it's closer to where we live now. They are rude on the phone and will never take a walk-in appointment even if it's an emergency and even if you are a Banfield Optimum Wellness Plan member. Other Banfield locations are welcoming and understanding if a walk-in visit has to occur sometimes, but this one is not. I've encountered 3 veterinarians that work here. One was okay. One could not explain to me what SSRI stands for even though she was ready to prescribe an SSRI med for my dog. The third vet just seemed like he did not want to be there, he never smiled, and I had to ask him a lot of questions because he wasn't explaining anything. I felt like my sick cat was a huge inconvenience for him. The exam rooms at this location are a lot dirtier than other Banfield exam rooms. At first I thought it must be a fluke that the room was so dirty - pet hair everywhere and what looks like dirt or fecal matter stuck in the corners of the linoleum by the wall. But this is consistent. They're dirty and smell bad like they don't get a thorough sanitation at the end of the day or any quick wipe downs between patients. You will spend a lot of time sitting in the exam room waiting for the vet. I once sat in there for over an hour and I actually walked out of the exam room to make sure that they knew that I was there. They just kept saying, "The vet will be in as soon as they can." The total length of that visit was around 3 hours. Over half of it was waiting in the exam room with my sick cat. On one visit, I did encounter a really helpful vet tech that seemed genuinely concerned for my pet's health. But I'm not going to continue going to this location since its track record is only 1 good visit for every 12 disappointing ones. TLDR: If you love your pet, don't take it to this location. Do yourself a favor and go to a different Banfield.

If your pet has been vomiting profusely, don't even bother calling this place. They wont have time to see him. They're the only place open on Sundays and they don't care about your sick pet.
