I have had animals all of my life and I'll admit I'm very picky about the care they receive. I feel strongly that I'm my pets' advocate -- their voice when they are feeling ill. I also have made a point of being as knowledgeable about my pets' care as possible. As you might imagine, I've gone through many, many vets from those who try to buffalo me into having unneeded tests done to those who are so arrogant you aren't allowed to ask any questions to those who plain aren't that good. I'm pleased that my search for a good vet clinic lead me to Crest Animal Hospital. It's clear that their first concern is for the wellbeing and comfort of the animals they treat, and it's also clear that they are very knowledgeable and keep up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine. Those things would be enough for me to give them five stars, but they go even further and treat me with respect and professionalism. Not long ago, I had to board my dogs there for an extended period of time while I was in the hospital. They're little dogs and typically get upset when boarded for even one night. My dogs were boarded there for a little more than two weeks and when I picked them up, they actually were even more spoiled than when I left them there! Two of them went off their food, which I had anticipated, and I couldn't believe it that Dr. Lyle actually cooked chicken, mixed it with rice, and those two were handfed! You don't find vets like this very often. They're the best!
I cannot describe how much I appreciate their help, dedication, professionalism, and most of all, compassion. We were first referred to Dr. Lyle because our Pug might need surgery. He was professional enough to send us on to Blue Pearl. Then when we had a Sunday emergency, he and I texted each other, all the while he was at an airport in Ohio. Then when there was no hope for our Lab, they proved themselves to be the best of the best. Thank you Dr. Breinin and staff for helping my family through that very heartrending time.
I have had 12 kids that have been through or are currently being treated by Dr. John Lyle and i give him 10 Stars out of 5! He is knowledgeable, caring and gracious about his calling. He treats my pets as if they were kids because they are:Mine. SHAME on anyone who would write disparaging remarks about him or his service. You are doing him and the community a disservice by painting him anything other than what he is:a great vet and a better Man. kentucky mcdaniel
My animals have been patients of Dr. Lyle and his associates for many years and have enjoyed their gentle, caring methods of ensuring their health and well-being. Last year my golden retriever became ill and we though we might have to euthanize her. I brought her to the clinic, unsure of whether or not I was doing the right thing. She had a pretty serious condition and it could have gone either way. The doctors let me know that the decision was mine and that there was no wrong move. They told me my options and made me feel confident in my decision to try medications to relieve her symptoms. It worked and she did quite well for the most part until about two weeks ago. I went back and got more medication but unfortunately this time it didn't work and she continued to go downhill. Today I took her to Dr. Lyle for the last time. It was an incredibly comfortable experience, albeit very sad, he and his staff were very supportive, caring and compassionate not only towards me, but more importantly towards my dog Rylee. I was able to be right there with her as she quietly and calmly went to sleep and out of pain and discomfort. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet. I live nearly 30 minutes away and in an area with many veterinarians but choose to travel the extra distance because of the outstanding care we receive here. Not only is the care above reproach, the costs for their services is far less than most others in the Kansas City area as well. Crest Animal Hospital is one of KCs best kept secrets.
I *LOVE* this clinic!!! The vets here are extremely compassionate, very knowledgeable, and I always get a complimentary pedicure (nail trim) and thorough "once over" whenever I am seen. Exam rooms are clean and the staff is always attentive to me. The extended hours make it convenient to get in and even if I have to wait for a little bit, I know when it is my turn to be seen, the Doctor will always give me his/her undivided attention. They are always very reasonable with ordering tests/medications/treatments so my visits are very cost effective (this leaves me more money for treats - YUM!). Even if this clinic is a little drive for you to get to, it is WORTH IT!
