My cat is not a patient here but they were kind and helpful with questions I had about my cats antibiotics late at night. I had other places hang up on me when they realized we weren't going to their clinic. They were very helpful and kind.

I've been to this establishment twice. My first experience was very business-like and had no problems at all. My second visit was very hard for me. I took my two year old cat in for a short exam and to be put down because he wasn't going to last the night. I called ahead and the girl on the phone was very kind. I had called another hospital and they told me I was only allowed 15 minutes with my sick pet, and that I'd be kicked out of the room for the rest of the time. I wasn't about to take my pet to that place. So I called AERH, and they allowed me to stay with my cat the whole time. The doctor was kind and soft spoken and talked be through everything calmly. They allowed me to spend as much time with my cat as I needed. After I was finished both nurses hugged me and told me how very sorry they were, and how absolutely beautiful my cat was. Other then being pricey, I have no issues. It's been a week and a day since I put my wonderful kitty down, and I received a beautiful card in the mail from them. I can't express how much it really touched my heart to get this from them.

My husband took our lab to them at 11:00 p.m. for a potential liver failure on our dog. He was exhibiting all the symptoms, and my sister who has been a vet for years, directed us to take him to an emergency clinic because if we waited for the morning, it could have been too late. So we took him in, they said the doctor would be with him in 10 minutes, 1.5 hours later, the doctor comes in, looks at his teeth, talks to the dog for a few minutes, my husband told her what had been happening and the vet was CLUELESS and said his uncontrollable peeing and puking had nothing to do with liver failure....so he googled it, maybe my sister was wrong. NOPE, every other thing he read about symptoms was correct and the vet at this place thought we were completely wrong. So, she leaves the room, 30 minutes later a tech comes in and says the vet wanted to do a rectal exam on our dog. At this point it is 1:00 a.m., nothing has been accomplished, no tests have even been run, and the vet is trying to do an exam on something that isn't even the problem?? So my husband said he would pay and leave. $80 for a 2-hour visit that was not productive AT ALL. HORRIBLE SERVICE. He heard the techs and whoever else laughing and talking and socializing in the hallway half the time, while he was sitting there wanting to leave.

I took my dog there that was 14 yrs old having seizures and he was blind from the seizures. They charged me $1000 to run tests and an hour later called to tell me all the tests were fine except his blood pressure was a little high probably due to the seizures. they kept him all day and til the next morning. My dog was having a seizure every 4 hours and instead of just telling me I should put my dog down they just kept feeding him valium. I picked him up the next morning at 6 am on Monday as they close on Monday at 8am. I got him home and he could not even walk or hold him self up. I took him to another vet in overland park and he had another seizure and was unresponsive so I had to put him down. So I spent $1400 on a dead dog in a day and a half.

These people suck in every way. All they care about is money. They don't seem to even LIKE animals. We got there with a very sick cat last night. My cat was shaking uncontrollably and VERY sick. They didn't even look at him and immediately started demanding money from us. They came back with an unbelievably high estimate of all the services that would be required, like an IV, blood work, and overnight stay, etc. We had to pay half of the bill upfront, but at least we were wise enough to decline most of the services. They gave our cat two injections (we foolishly had put a small amount of flea medicine meant for dogs onto our cat which caused the reaction) - didn't even bathe the stuff off his back like they said needed to be done immediately. They charged $50 for the 2 injections. Then they charged $56 for INJECTION FEE. Are you freakin SERIOUS you losers??? They charged $26 because it was after midnight, and $54 for an exam fee which merely consisted of them looking at our cat - not touching it or listening to its heart but just staring at it. They say we have to come in within a week to pay the remainder of the bill. Good luck collecting on that you greedy pigs.
