We love this clinic. Everyone we have encountered there has always been very friendly and show a genuine love of animals. Their prices are extremely reasonable. They also have extended hours to help accommodate work schedules. We had an old dog that was miserable and in constant pain and when we made the decision to have her put down they were very humane and caring in helping us to do that. They are a very popular clinic and the wait to have someone see your pet can sometimes take awhile but it's well worth the wait. They have always provided excellent care for our animals. We would recommend them to highly to anyone looking for good veterinary care for the pets.

So far so good. We recently relocated to Lee's Summit and needed a new vet. When our dog developed a rash, we tried two other vets who told us nothing was wrong. Finally we came here and they explained that he had a staff infection, but that isn't very worrisome in dogs. If that's what the other vets meant by "nothing is wrong" I wish they would have just told me that. Chipman Road Animal Clinic decided to treat the infection after all because it was starting to spread. They were very professional, informative and reasonably priced.

My dog and two cats have been patients for years but now I've had enough -- Chipman Road Animal Clinic is hell-bent on making money on routine medications such as heartworm preventers and anti-fungals rather than focusing on caring for their patients. At various points, I've tried to purchase maintenance meds such as Heartguard from internet companies, only to be completely STOPPED by Chipman Road Animal Clinic's request for an "office visit" or -- get this one -- "heartworm testing to make sure you don't come back to us if you purchased defective Heartguard from somewhere else and your dog gets heartworm." Seriously! They will do everything in their power to prevent you from buying your meds elsewhere; they'd much rather you walk in the door and buy from them at greatly inflated prices (and of course, if you do that, you won't have to pay for unnecessary office visits). To me, this practice should be illegal and I should be able to purchase my dog's meds wherever I choose, while saving money. I'm looking for a new vet now, having been "on CRAC" for several years.
