The vets here are good, but the office manager has made me change to another vet. I have 5 cats and a dog that I was taking here since 4 years. Then this year a neighbor's house burned down in March, and we are feeding their cat (a stray who adopted them) ever since. I went in to ask if they would just take a look at the cat to determine its sex and whether or not it was ever fixed so that I could get someone else to adopt it (I have 5 already so I can't). They left a note for the office manager (Claudia) who was out, saying she would call me back. Two weeks later and no call, so I went in again and spoke with her this time. I explained that if it cost money, the neighbors whose house burned down would probably not agree (if they were willing to spend money, I assume they would have taken the cat in before), and I didn't want to embarrass them by saying I would pay. She said she would "discuss it" with the owner of the clinic and call me back, but she apparently never bothered. I then went to another vet down the road who doesn't even know me, and they immediately said "No problem -- bring the cat in and we'll take a look! Tragic that their house burned down." So yes, if you want a mercenary veterinary clinic, take your animals here. If you want one with compassion, go elsewhere.
Happy to take our pets here. Prices are great and it matches the kindness, service and compassion of everyone inside. We've been by 4-5 times in the last 2 months and everyone, from the people in the front, to the techs and the vets have been just phenomenal. We've been to other vets in springfield and now gladly make the short drive to go to this clinic. There's no BS like some other in town vets and, like I said, there's a great staff running it. I recently had to call the after hours number and was assisted promptly and kindly by the vet on call as well. We're happy to be a customer here!
They have taken care of our pups for years, including the euthanasia of 2 of them and they are always kind, respectful and compassionate. If we ever recover from the heartache of losing these last 2 and get another, I will be back at Ozark Veterinary clinic
Very compassionate when I took a dying dog there. They went above and beyond for her.
We just moved back to the area and needed a vet when our dog had a sore that wouldn't heal...turns out that the sore was really a fly larva hole and is very rare in dogs, but Ozark Vet Clinic got us in the same day that I called and helped my pup out and sent us home on our merry way. The vet was very knowledgeable and even brought us a book out to look at since it was so rare in dogs. The place is very clean, up-to-date, and there are lots of employees that are eager to help. I never write reviews on this thing, but since the reviews helped me choose a vet, I figured that it might help someone else too.
