FYI - Dr Johnson is a highly respected Doctor, his bedside manner is not the least bit relevant to his treatment of your pet's eyes. Please go prepared with your questions and information regarding your pets symptoms and you will find him extremely helpful. Don't expect Patch Adams. My dog and I love him

The staff was very nice. Dr. Johnson had a terrible bedside manner. He made me feel like an irresponsible dog owner because we hadn't brought our 10 year old mixed breed in immediately when she started to develop cataracts. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to make her more comfortable. We had already decided we would not spend the 3k-5k to have the cataracts removed at her age as long as she wasn't in any discomfort. He blatantly told me it was much too late to do anything for her and sort of indicated we should take our leave. He handled my dog very roughly (weighed 10 lbs and not a mean bone in her body). I have recently discovered he isn't the only animal eye specialist in town. Find one that seems to actually love animals.

I recently had the need to use the services of Animal Eye Associates for my dog. Not only did I get a very quick appointment but both the staff and the doctor were very friendly and pleasant, not to mention we did not have to wait at all. The doctor also explained the situation with our dogs eye very well and made us feel much better. But the best part of the experience was the positive shock I had when I paid the bill. The visit and outpatient procedure (which was done on the spot) was very, very reasonable.
