This office is just fine for non urgent issues, but if your pet has an urgent issue after hours there is no way to get ahold of the vet. There is no after hours pager for emergency, they just have a message on their voicemail that tells you to go to the animal hospital in Kirkwood (20 minutes away). I lost a pet because of the precious time wasted by calling around and trying to get all the way to Kirkwood. They also recommended a groomer that looked like the little shop of horrors. We just switched to Hampton Animal Hospital at the recommendation of a friend with 4 pets, they provide an after hours emergency pager number, respond incredibly quickly, and have never told her to go to another facility, the vet will get out of bed at 2am to meet you at the office in the case of an emergency.

I have a tiny dog who never behaves well for the vet. The staff was very patient with us. Bruice Kurka was our vet, he was so nice. It was our first visit, there was no office fee, or first visit fees. I will continue to go there.
