Dr. Pendino and Dr. Kurka are the living embodiments of Dr. Doolittle. They seem to love what they do, take excellent care of our pets and have years of experience. Our pets usually see Dr. Pendino, so I know him the best. He carefully considers all the variables in the animal's life as he makes his diagnoses. He does not treat anything unnecessarily. He asks for your input in deciding which would be the best treatment option for the dog and he is honest. He tells you when something needs to be addressed. I have never gotten the impression he was trying to sell me on anything- just a good, honest veterinarian. I truly think the world of him. So do my dogs and my cat.

I would hate to take my "babies" anywhere else. Both doctors and all the staff are the best. They are all so helpful and caring. While we were out of town, one of our dogs got very sick and almost died. The person sitting with our dogs took her to Chippewa, they checked her out, but she was too sick for them and they had her transferred to the emergency hosp. With us being out of town, they could have easily just gave her some meds and sent her home. They certainly went the extra step in assisting our housesitter in helping get her there. You can tell they love their jobs and our dogs love them.

Doctors Kurka and Pendino are wonderful beyond description. These guys care about the patient as is more than obvious each and every time I bring my 2 dachshunds to visit them. My boy "George" has been in their care since he was a puppy and he's almost 8 now. My girl "Hannah" loves them too but George is thrilled they are his doctors. I moved away and chose to patronize the local "vet" yes, I know, stupid. When I did this stupid move, George received an injury from a this horrible woman that nearly cost his life. This other so called "vet" extracted several teeth without permission or the use of antibiotics and caused a huge abscess to form behind his right eye. That's what happened from trying to patronize the local "brand new state of the art" veterinary hospital that just opened in 2009 in Town and Country MO. Thank GOD I took him to Dr. Kurka instead of trusting this woman with another precious hair on his dear sweet body. He's still in the hospital after a full week but will make a recovery. He will lose sight in his eye, maybe lose his eye because of someone who shouldn't practice medicine at all, but thanks to Doctors Kurka and Pendino, he will live and adapt. I cannot begin to express how much I truly appreciate the care and dedication given my George by the Doctors Kurka and Pendino and the entire staff. I was introduced to Chippewa Animal Hospital through Stray Rescue. They are a commonly used vet for the organization and that's where my Zoey first went. I think the staff is awesome...always helpful and sweet and Dr. Pandino is great at what he does. I've also found several strays including one with a broken leg that was later amputated. Biliken is doing great now is his new foever home thanks to Chippewa Animal Hospital!!! Thanks everyone!!!!

The folks here are super nice and attentive. It is not fancy looking, and they could prob use some remodeling, but they make up for it by being very genuine. I highly recommend.
