Horrible experience! We had just moved to Warrensburg on military orders around Oct 2007 and didn't know any vets in town. Took our sick St. Bernard named Murphy there and they not only ran several unnecessary tests (ex: heart worm tested less than a month prior and they overcharged us for their own test), but then proceeded to tell us it would take two $1,000+ surgeries to fix his gallstones. Almost let my dog die by doing nothing for him! Turned out he couldn't pee and his bladder almost ruptured. I thought they "cared for all of God's creatures." Only if you're rich and want to contribute. My wife went to pick up the dog and she didn't have enough money in her newly set up account at that moment (for the few tests they did run....without our approval by the way), so she wrote two checks and asked them to hold one for a week. After I learned the whole story I cancelled the second check because I wanted discuss the charges with them before I paid because I felt we had been taken advantage of due to our inexperience in the area. I have learned if you pay someone for a job not complete, it will never get complete. Dr. Barry flat out lied to my face when I talked to him in person about the charges they had billed us for. I shook his hand, smiled, we said "have a nice day" to each other and I though we had settled the matter. Like men of integrity. A couple days later I received a notice from a third party collection agency and Dr. Barry would not answer a phone call or talk to me when I visited the clinic again to fix what I though was a mistake. The only person from their clinic that would talk to me was their collections gal. Not a nice person at all! No mistake on their part, he apparently had no intentions of settling the matter man to man. So if you have a lot of money and want to overpay for their service, they will be more than happy to "help." My dog was fine after my hometown vet in South West City, MO immediately installed a catheter (Murphy was a new dog on the spot!) and operated for $400 several days later. I still have some of the stones to prove it ;)
I have alot of animals...I mean alot, we have sheep, pigs, dogs, cats and a rabbit. I have brought my animals to this clinic over and over again. I called one early morning when our sheep were attacked by a dog and they were on it! They came to our home, treated our animals, called us to let us know what the situation was and what our options were and how much the price would be. They really seem to care about what is going on with all kinds of God's creatures! They are kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for. Overall, I trust that they will help us every time I call...I have had many situations where it was after hours and I was worried and they came and met us at the office to take care of our pet. We are a very lucky community to have them serving us.
Very fast very friendly and right on the price
Really not happy with how my dog was taken care of for the four days he was there.
