I could say nothing but horrible about the service there. Apparently all they care is MONEY. They tried to charge me two blood screens. The highest estimate was 1000; however, they asked for 1300 the next day. They wouldn't even do the surgery unless we pay another 500 deposit after 300 got paid the first night.

The Amherst Team (especially Dr. Robyn Lance!) is nothing short of WONDERFUL. Over the years we have taken three of our dogs for everything from routine exams, to surgery, to (unfortunately) euthanasia due to cancer. When we travel, we board the dogs at Amherst, call them often, and trust them completely. We have a new puppy in their care now and are having a ball in Jamie's puppy classes. Five stars are not enough!

We like this vet hospital a lot better than the one near KMart. They all seem nice and look like they like our dog and cat, and care. We never had any serious problems yet, but as general care goes, they are nice.

My dog could have died because of their extreme misdiagnosis. He was foaming at the mouth and couldn't go potty and was whimpering in obvious pain. It was off hours and we were told the earliest he could be seen was 2 the next day. We called another vet gave the same symptoms and they told us to bring him in right away. one X-ray later we knew he had a twisted stomach and could have died had he not gotten surgery. I do not recommend them at all.

Very good service, fair prices. The staff seemed to really care and like animals.
