We took our pets to Pruyn for about 2 years. At first everything went well. However, at some point they just got too busy to provide good service. Visits went from friendly to hectic, on time to hour long waits and satisfying to wondering if our pets were just a number and a dollar sign. The last straw was when we took our cat in for a scheduled check up and waited in a waiting room full of dogs for over an hour. Once we were put in an actual "patient room" we waited another 15 minutes. All of this for a very rushed and frantic check by the doctor. We decided to switch vets after this experience. When I called to have our pets records faxed to the new vet I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. Then, when we got to the new vet they informed me they had never received the paperwork. I would however, recommend Pruyn anytime there is an emergency. They do have an after hours clinic that is quite convenient.

The weekend staff are great. Courteous and understanding, and they give great care. Dr. Paul Schaumberg on the other hand, whom seems to be the only vet during the week (besides Jason) is one of the most abrasive people I have had to deal with. He picked up my injured dog while I was out of the exam room, causing my animal stress and pain when I had SPECIFICALLY told him to let me lift him myself. Dr. Schaumberg was in too much of a hurry, ignored me, hurt my dog and almost caused him to bite. On top of this, when i came back into the room he insisted that he could change the bandage that i change by myself three times a day better than i could, pushed me aside, used MY BANDAGE MATERIALS I PAYED FOR AND BROUGHT FROM HOME and put the most crappily wrapped bandage i have ever seen onto a wound that has been fighting infection for weeks. The bandage fell off before we even left the exam room, costing me even more time and money since i had to rewrap it when i got home with another new bandage. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I will bring my animals back to this office, but I will never schedule under that vet again. He will not listen to the owners of his patients and he obviously cares more about hurrying you out of his office than treating your animal.

Pruyn Vet is fantastic! From the front office staff to the vets. Stacy, who works evenings and weekends is really good at dealing with a lot of things at once -- the phones, the people at the counter, etc. I have a "difficult" dog and the front office staff makes sure I have a clear path to a room. Dr. Rewinkel is fantastic! Can't say enough good things about them.

Very very very poor experience at this clinic. The receptionist - Tammy - was not friendly. She was very curt and seemed more concerned about leaving work than helping me or any of the other clients that walked in. She told me to wait to be helped ad she made small talk with someone standing at the counter. And even though my dog seemed to be having a reaction to something, she brushed my paperwork of to a new employee and then brushed her off when she needed help. When the doctor walked in she never introduced herself. Older, blonde hair, glasses. She didn't talk or explain anything as she did her exam. She was also just very stand off ish and curt. The staff at this office are not very friendly nor seem to care much for new clients or first impressions with new clientele. I will not be returning to this establishment nor will I ever recommend anyone.
