This place is awesome. I showed up unannounced with a puppy in poor shape. They graciously accommodated us by pulling a doctor from an exam to make sure my dog was not in any immediate danger. They then scheduled a formal appointment for later that morning and within 24 hours my dog was feeling and looking much better. They went above and beyond for us when we needed it most. They made me and my dog feel comfortable and really seemed to care about providing the best for us. We are new to the area, but I already know we have found our perfect vet.

Set out on a search before moving to these beautiful mountains for my Bulldog, George Burns. Had to find the absolute best vet in the area, and would drive a far distance if I had to for him. But, sent out some e-mails before I moved with my then-year-old George, and found that out of the five answers I received, three of them suggested AHNA. I've been with them ever since. They truly care about me and my Bully, and can't ask for much more than that. My vet, Dr. Amy Plankenhorn, even recommended hydrotherapy for George for a pulled psoas muscle at another facility - that's truly caring for her patient.

This vet is truly amazing. The staff goes above and beyond to care for your pet and explain your options as a pet owner. They saved the life of my 3 year old dog Izzy and were so compassionate throughout the entire ordeal. I would never go anywhere else!

I have never had such a wonderful experience with a Veterinarian. I was referred here for a rather extensive dental surgery for my cat. From the very first phone call, I was impressed by the level of dedication and customer service. Dr. Thompson took the time to thoroughly explain my cat's condition and the possible treatments and outcomes. By the end of that first conversation, I had complete trust that Dr. Thompson cared about the well being of Miles almost as much as I did. The procedure went very smoothly, and the follow up was excellent. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. I will sing their praises to anyone who will listen. The customer service from every single person I dealt with was top notch. This is a wonderful addition to Asheville Community.

They have cared for my 2 dogs and 3 cats for years. Whether it's an emergency or just a checkup, they are truly the best. Thank you for loving my pets almost as much as I do!
