I have been so happy with Animal Hospital South. My mother takes her dogs there and when I moved back to Asheville I needed a great vet to provide the best care for my 2 cats. Firstly, Animal Hospital South is convenient. The location, just off of Hendersonville Rd, couldn't be better and is a breeze to get to. Scheduling an appointment has always been easy. The building and interior are attractive and bright. Most importantly, the staff is the best thing about this office. You are greeted warmly by whoever is at the front desk. When I go, that's usually Tiffany or one of the vet techs, like Marlaina--I love them both! I have never had to wait very long before being ushered into one of the private exam rooms, where I usually see the head nurse, Jamie, and Dr. von Szalatnay. They are always incredibly helpful and very patient with my less-than-excited cats, and they do a great job of making them comfortable. I have taken my pets here for regular office visits and shots as well as more involved procedures, like dental cleanings. They do a wonderful job with everything, the prices are competitive, and I have always been really satisfied!

Animal Hospital South has served our dogs extremely well through the 3 years we have used its services. The veterinarians are all excellent, performing various treatments from periodic shots to surgeries when needed. Our dogs have been boarded there on occasion, too. All personnel - office staff, assistants, technicians, and veterinarians - are caring, competent, and professional. Incidentally, Animal Hospital South was recommended by our previous vet in California because it is AHAA certified.

I adopted my pet from Pet Harmony and they referred me to Animal Hospital South. They have done an outstanding job taking care of Domino. Domino is an approximatley 6 year old Party Poodle. She had some residual problems caused by her time on the street. The doctors have made sure the Domino is a healthy and happy member of my family. I am well pleased with them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very happy with the service! Took the cat in on an emergency basis, got a same day appointment (within an hour) and a follow-up phone call the next day. Very good listeners!!

We have brought our cats, dog and lizard to Animal Hospital South and they have all received wonderful care. They take great care of the animals and communicate well with us about what is going on. Personable, professional and competent.
