Very professional staff and excellent, knowledgeable vet! I am new to Asheville and was looking for a vet for my 9 y.o. Pomeranian, who was a puppy mill mother and had serious health issues in her life. All the staff were very down to earth and friendly and made me feel welcome, and they treated my dog like she was a queen. Dr Whitfield is absolutely fantastic. She remembered us just from a phone call and was very thorough and interested in my dog and took her time with her, rather than some vets who just rush through the appointment. She was patient as we were getting my dog's records transferred from the previous vet and was super gentle with my dog, moreso than any other vet I've been to. The workspace is clean and neat and actually colorful unlike so many medical spaces which are usually sterile and white and make you anxious. Finally as for the price, it wasn't too much more than what I was expecting and for the service I was perfectly pleased to pay it. What I really loved is that they gave me an itemized list of prices and services that made me feel comfortable they weren't just looking for extra, unnecessary costs to bill me for, and they did the same for upcoming dental services which my dog needs. Rather than waiting for her to be operated on and THEN tell me what to pay, they gave me an estimate up front and explained each item thoroughly with the prices. I trust Dr Whitfield and her staff very much and am happy to make her our vet here in Asheville.
