As a life-long Asheville resident clocking 25 years as an adult pet-owner, I've had a lot of pets and a lot of vets. My favorite veterinarian of all time is Dr. David Vigee at Asheville Veterinary Associates - South. He is a super-smart, extremely knowledgable veterinarian, a skilled surgeon and an all-around likable person. Combine that talent and personality with a great staff ... I can't recommend Asheville Veterinary Associates and Dr. Vigee any more highly.

Excellent, caring veterinarians and staff. Three of our animals have been seen at this office for both wellness and sick visits. Clean, modern facility and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

AVA has been with my family for over a decade and they have never been anything less than our must trusted allies in caring for all of our pets. They've helped us fight hard for some when the fight was the right thing to do, and they were realists at other times when the fight had to be called. They've never pressured us or guilted us into doing things that felt wrong for our family, and never took advantage of a whole lot of emotional vulnerability. Over the years AVA has shown us nothing but compassionate understanding, and never have I felt like they didn't have my pets' best interests in mind. They are a fantastic asset to this city and a benchmark for whom other veterinarian and veterinary clinics should strive to be.

I love Dr. David Vigee and his team and give them my highest rating. I drive all the way across town just to have him care for our dogs. He is smart, compassionate, good-humored, and kind. Thanks to Dr. Vigee and his team, our Golden Retriever, Huckleberry, made it to the ripe old age of 17. They murdered my friends dog. Even I knew he was too old and frail for Anesthesia. I tried to get her to get a second opinion because I knew what would happen. BEWARE OF DR DAVID VIGEE!!! BAD VET!!!
