Shortly after I moved to Carrboro, my old dog (12 yo) developed lymphoma. It was discovered when Dr. Anderson visited my dog in their boarding facility while I was on biz trip and noticed her glands were swollen. (It was my dog's first time there and she just wanted to check she was doing okay - that impressed me from the start.) I felt I got good advice and support through my dog's battle with this illness. Dr. Anderson even indicated she'd be willing to euthanize my dog at home when the time came. Unfortunately she was at a conference when it was "time" and Dr. Ward took care of my dog at the clinic in a very gentle, caring way. I wish him well in his retirement. I have a new dog now and although she's young (3 or so, not sure, she's a rescue), she has quite severe arthritis in her hips. Again, I feel I've gotten good advice and an excellent referral to a rehabilitation center in Durham that has helped a lot. I have been quite concerned about the long time I'll need to manage my dog's pain and mobility issues but feel I have the support I need with TAH and Dr. Anderson. I am also impressed by Dr. Anderson's advocacy on behalf of needy animals through Paws4Ever and the super event they put on each fall at Southern Village (where Stan from the front desk entertains with his band!). Thanks Dr. Anderson from all the animals who benefit from your skill and caring.
