We had to make an emergency trip here last night and the team there did an outstanding job. Thank you! Dr. Santilli and assistant Rebecca were professional, caring and very gentle with our old dog. IF you find yourself in need of emergency Veterinarian care I would highly recommend them.

I've been to Animal Emergency Clinic twice, with 2 different animals, and I was extremely unhappy with both experiences. The first experience was my dog, and they couldn't give me answer as to what was going on because they said she needed an MRI. Ok, I understand that's not something that vet hospitals don't have, but when I took her home, and took her to her vet the next day, her doctor was able to look in her ear, and found out she had a severe ear infection causing her to have the problems that she had the night before. So basically I paid AEC $100.00, for nothing. Great. Our 2nd experience was with my cat last night. She has been having a problem that her vet is still trying to figure out, and all we needed was a refill on her medication, due to my clumsiness. They made me bring her in, which was understandable, and I wasn't upset about that, but then they didn't examine her at all. They charged us $100.00 for her to sit in her kennel while they refilled her prescription. Then, they charged me a $21.00 fee to put her information in the computer. So for medication, that should have cost me $22.00, I was charged $143.00. And then because I demanded that either the dr do an exam on her, or take off the exam fee, the dr was very rude to me, and was rough with my cat. She grabbed her by the nape of her neck, which I understand, some cats don't handle the vet well, but she jerked her out of her kennel, and my poor cat looked terrified. She was just very rough with a very sick cat. I finally lost my cool with them, took my cat back from the dr, and refused to pay the $100.00 exam fee due to how the dr was treating my cat. I finally came to an agreement with them that I would pay for the medication, and the fee to put her information in their system. I don't appreciate being treated with such disrespect, and was extremely upset that my sick, fragile cat, was handled with such a heavy hand, by a dr that was frustrated that I only asked to receive what I was paying for. It may be a little further away, but I will go to NCSU emergency vet services from now on. They were much nicer, and I didn't feel like they were trying to screw me over during an emergency. I hope other people have a better experience with them, because I know how scary a trip to the emergency vet can be. :(

My entire experience with the Animal Emergency Clinic was great. The prices were reasonable and each person I dealt with conducted themselves in a very professional and compassionate manner.
