Our Dog, Fig, needed knee surgery. We were referred to this hospital by our vet in Durham. Dr Keller was outstanding. He spent a generous amout of time with us both pre and post op. We are very grateful to Bud and the entire staff at VSRP.

We have a dog that has actually required 3 surgeries (2 major orthopedic, 1 soft tissue) and the surgeons at VSRP have done all of them. We have been beyond pleased with everything about the office...the friendliness of the staff, prompt professional customer service, and of course the expertise and knowledge of the doctors there. Even a few years after the successful surgeries, if we need something or have a question, they are happy to help us. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

The Staff and Docs are VSRP are great. Our hometown vet referred us to get TPLO (torn knee CCL) surgery on our 3 year old Golden Retriever. Dr. Gallagher did the operation after a thorough exam and lengthy explanation. We did a lot of research before our appointment, so we knew what to ask, but never had to ask because he covered it all and more. Surgery of any kind is a gamble, but these folks leave no stone unturned to optimize the success rate. They have a reputation for not doing a procedure unless it is really needed and there were no surprises in terms of the cost. We e-mailed a question the week after the operation, and Dr. G called us back right away with the answer. Nice to see consumate pros in action in this day & age. Our dog may yet have complications, but that would not change our opinion of these guys. The best for surgery - especially orthopedic.

What everyone said below! Dr Gallagher is the only vet that listened to me and understood I know my dog! He took a lot of time to help me decided if surgery was the best option. My dog is only a few days post OP and only time will tell if this was the right thing, but I beleive in my heart this was the best rout to take.

This is an amazing place to bring your pet for surgery. These guys were very friendly and kind. They spent alot of time talking with us about surgery and how to take care of our dog after surgery.
