Recently my roommate and I brought his dog in to see the vet because the dog had become dangerously aggressive with the two other dogs in the apartment. Dr. B was incredibly rude and presumptuous. We had spent the last year trying to find a solution to this dog aggression, but had not been successful. Dr. B acted as though we were incompetent and had not tried a thing. His "solutions" were ridiculous, unless of course you had enough money to hire a personal dog trainer or a spacious house with different areas that each dog could occupy. After trying to explain that we didn't have those resources, he said that keeping the aggressive dog in a crate all day was a good solution. Dr. B showed no regard for the quality of life of any of the three dogs nor respect or compassion for the heartbroken and desperate dog owners. He was condescending, arrogant, and rude! I have had animals all my life and never had such a deplorable experience with a veterinarian! I would, however, like to say that when the Vet Tech, Becky, was with us alone, she provided us with very useful and helpful information in a compassionate and professional manner. Dr. B would benefit from taking a few lessons from Becky!!! When a pet owner is desperate and heartbroken over their animals, they should at the very least feel supported and safe consulting with their vet. Apparently, Dr. B doesn't feel the same!
particularly Dr. Jennifer Fernandez. I used to take my dogs there until I discovered that they had no clue about my animals or their records. They called in one for a rabies shot and when I pointed out that he had just gotten a booster, she replied, "oh well, things happen". I found out that the records they had of my dogs were in complete disarray. After I left I had a scare with the dogs getting into tylenol. I took them back because it was an emergency. She again showed little empathy towards me or the dogs, and when I went back for a follow up test and she made me wait 20 minutes she told me not to come back. They are about the money, not the animals.
