I just briefly read another review stating that the staff is more interested in pushing pricey meds and treatments than the actual care of your pet.... I couldn't agree more. I have had so many bad experiences at this office, but continue to go here because I am enrolled in a wellness plan for my dog that they pushed on me, convincing me it was the best bet in lieu of the outrageous bill I was facing. Right after the doctor told me I was possibly looking at the death of my animal, he stated to me that even if my dog died, I would still be charged for the monthly fee of my wellness plan. Such excellent bed side manner. If there were no stars, that is what I would give them. From the receptionist, to the doctors, the people here act like they just do not care about anything except your money. In closing, I must mention the last and final visit to this vet with my dog. My schnauzer, who has recently fought for his life being diagnosed with diabetes, and learning how to live happily after this diagnosis, started showing signs of rapidly growing cataracts in his eyes and I did not know this was a symptom of a diabetes diagnosis.... I took him into this location and turned down some pricey tests, but opted for some rather expensive drops instead (thinking it was just an eye infection) After doing internet research, I found out what any normal vet should have told me, and that is that cataracts and loss of vision is a result of diabetes. A nurse client of mine opened my eyes to this, and not the vet in which I have put my trust. They are out for your money here, period. A few of the vet techs are caring, but other than that, all they see is your money. Its vey sad.

My pets have seen Dr. Carey and Dr. Goodson. I would avoid this place. They are friendly and nice but care more about pushing pricey medication than about your pet. It seems the vet practice it is geared toward pushing the sale of items not covered by the Wellness plan that finances your pets routine care (it is not pet insurance). The doctors don't have the true knowledge and skill of other veterinary medicine practitioners. It may be fine for routine checks and flea and heartworm. However, if your pet is ill, it will be misdiagnosed here or perhaps worse. My dog would be dead if I didn't get a second opinion and I listened to these doctors with their lack of medical knowledge. Also whatever they prescribe, ask for a written prescription. Do not let them fill it at Banfield unless you want to pay triple.

We have the wellness plan and it saves us a ton of money. It sounds goofy to pay $30 per month for a pet but after all the services it includes it saves me hundreds of dollars per year. Also, the staff is great at this location

Banfield is a joke. If you sign their contract for a wellness plan you have 4 days to cancel it. So say you get 6 months in and you have a perfectly healthy dog and don't go back until the year check up when your plan is over and they tell you that you owe 300$ for the 6 months you didn't come in. When you try to get things worked out you get a call saying its been sent to collections. Yeah great fuckin place.

Avoid this place unless you want to overpay by double! I also have heard from a friend they diagnosed their pet with an incurable disease and said it would only live a few months, the pet ended up living many years. They Banfield The Pet Hospital also tries to sell you a many hundreds of dollars per year maint plan for your pet that is way over the top and absurdly over prices. The vets are trained sales people that should work on used car lots!
