Greed... shameful!! While the physical services may have been wonderful, attitude takes away from whatever greatness there might be. Dr. Miller's failure to honor an agreed-to price for services is shameful. Generous donors offered to help a pup in need, who'd been dumped. Dr. Miller agreed to perform the operation for a set fee but when he saw the excess funds raised (which were to cover future care and care for other strays in need in the future), he decided to up his fee and demand the whole amount. Shameful, at the least. Another example of greed before care.

I have been a client of this clinic since last year. The purpose of the first visit was treat my cat for worms. I was told a stool sample was needed, but one was never taken. I was given a receipt and sent on my way. The second visit was for an update on two vaccines, rabies and distemper. I was sent home with a receipt and no rabies tag or information. Soon after leaving, my cat began vomiting and having diarrhea. This went on for several hours until I called the emergency vet in the area and was directed to bring her in. As a first time cat owner, the fact that an adverse reaction to vaccination may occur was unknown to me. I feel it is the responsibility of a veterinarian to make this type of information available to a new pet owner, however, it was not provided to me and my cat was not tested for adverse reaction prior to receiving the shot. Thus, I had to spend several hours in emergency care later that evening and lost over 200 dollars. The clinic did not take responsibility for this mistake after I made it know to them. Additionally, after this incident, I was called and told that I should come to the clinic to receive my rabies information that was not given to me on the day I came in. Furthermore, I was also left a message saying I need to pay additional money because I was charged for the wrong vaccine. There is a level of professionalism and care that this clinic simply does not offer. Not only will I not come back to receive care from this clinic, I will never refer my friends or coworkers to come here either.

I have nothing positive to say about my visit to this hospital. First off, the place is hard to find, it's so small and very easy to miss. The reason for my visit was to obtain my dogs medical records after I had been given the dog from a family who couldn't no longer care for her. They used this vet hospital and that's where her records are (medical history/vaccine history.) I simply wanted a copy of them to transfer them to my vet (I work at a vet hospital and wanted to move her records to my vet.) I drove 30 minutes out of my way to visit this hospital to get the records because on two prior occasions, they said they would fax them over to my current vet but never did. When I stopped in to get the information, I had a pill bottle for my dog from the previous owner to show that I rightfully obtained the dog from the previous family. When I walked in the door, I was not greeted by anyone at the front desk. In fact, I stood there for five minutes (there was no bell or anything to ring to draw attention to my presence) and was not helped. No one in sight. So I opened and closed the front door again to make it sound the alert that the door had opened (again.) Finally I was greeted. When I first asked to have a copy of my dogs records, the guy simply refused. I told him I was now the rightful owner and had received the dog from the family, showed him the pill bottle, yet he still refused to give me any information without the previous owner's consent. I then went on to tell him that the previous owner had been in contact with the hospital about consenting to releasing her records both by phone and via email. He looked through his system for all of 30 seconds and said there was no email, and again refused to release her records to me. I then told him that my vet (where I work) had just called the Durham Animal Hospital the evening before about having my dogs records faxed over to them. Whoever answered the phone on DAHs end told my vet that they would be able to fax the records over and would do so that evening, yet the fax never came. When I told the guy at the counter this, he simply stated he didn't know who they spoke with, but that the person did not know their policy and shouldn't have told them they could fax her records. That just tells me the staff is poorly trained at DAH. And to this day, I still have yet to receive her records from this hospital even though the previous owner has for a second time, contacted this hospital to consent to releasing her records to me, again both via email and over the phone. Terrible, terrible customer service. No intention to help me whatsoever. Hindering my capability to get my dog proper care because I have no access to her records or vaccine history. I would NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone! Very rude and unhelpful. Terrible first impression. Very dissatisfied.

We have 5 pets, so we spend a lot of money on veterinary care. I would recommend this practice to anyone. They always make time for you if your pet is in distress, and everyone on the staff, from the front desk to the techs to the vets, are first-rate! Very caring environment.
