Our experience with Southpoint Animal Hospital has been phenomenal. We adopted a small dog who we believe never had a home before us and was anxious around other people. The staff at SAH were able to quickly and wonderfully develop a relationship with her in a way that we thought would never happen. Our dog now enjoys going to the vet to see Lisa, who is one of the few Certified Veterinary Practice Managers in North Carolina. The rest of staff are amazing to work with, kind and caring too.
I had a wonderful first-time experience at Southpoint Animal Hospital. They got us in quickly, and my sick kitty saw Dr. Doyle, who spent a significant amount of time listening to my concerns, checking out kitty's physical condition, and then discussing options for treatment. He sent us home with a plan, and it worked wonderfully. Kitty was back to her normal purry, chirpy self within a day of her visit and the start of meds, and is doing fine now. I even received a follow-up call from SPAH the day after our visit-- they wanted to see how she was doing. Wonderful front desk staff and vets. Would highly recommend!!
I found SPAH online, as my Charlie had been having a tough time with his tummy for several days, and the other two vets in the area that I consulted could not figure out the problem. Charlie and I walked into SPAH without knowing anyone there, just simply seeking a third opinion. As it turns out, SPAH ended up saving Charlie's life with emergency surgery for an intestinal obstruction. Dr. Doyle knew immediately what was going on, and without hesitation cleared his schedule to make sure Charlie got the surgery right away. He showed me the x-rays, clearly and carefully explained all of the procedures, and kept me informed throughout the surgery and the recovery. I have never, ever worked with a veterinarian that went SO far above and beyond to care for my pet. My Charlie will never go anywhere else but SPAH from now on!! Words can't express our gratitude!!!
Dr. Farling observed and diagnosed problems in our aging cat that other vets had missed, and she prescribed medications for her. Later, when our kitty had a debilitating stroke, Dr. Farling provided sensitive end-of-life care for her and spent considerable time with us as well, as we dealt with the kitty's death. Then to our surprise, we learned the clinic doesn't charge for end-of-life care. Later Dr. Farling sent us a sympathy card, and the clinic made a donation to a shelter in our kitty's memory. I would give more stars if I could.
I have been going to the good people at Southpoint Vet since they first opened their doors. I could not ask for a better vet experience all around. Dr. Lapham is my pets' regular vet but all of them have been outstanding in every way. You know you truly love an experience when you are glad to not have to move to another city so that you can continue having them take care of your "family".
