Dr. Szymkowski is highly professional and friendly. She answered all our questions and was thorough in her exam of our cats. The vet tech, Tyra, calmed our very stressed kitties with her gentle, but firm, handling and loving touch. Gray, the receptionist, is super-friendly, detail-oriented and patient with pet owners.

The ladies here are absolutely amazing! My worst nightmare came true on the way from my car to the front door of the vet; my cat carrier broke open and my two cats went tearing across the parking lot. I was terrified! The ladies from the office along with about five other strangers came running outside and circled the parking lot and caught my little monsters. The ladies from the vets office, along with the doctor herself proceeded to take the very best care of my kitties. Very very attentive, wasn’t rushed at all, and they were extremely thorough. I will definitely be recommending this vet to all my feline loving friends!

What a wonderful place Cat Hospital is! They saved my cat's life! I am forever grateful! After taking my sick kitty to another cat clinic and them not being able to figure out what's wrong, I took him to the Cat Hospital. It took Dr. Kirch literally a minute to find out what's wrong! He had surgery there the same day and was back home the next! Again, could not thank them enough!

We've seen our fair share of vets, but the folks at The Cat Hospital of Durham and Chapel Hill are the best BY FAR. They are incredibly kind, extremely helpful, and will absolutely go above and beyond to help you (the owner) out. I've brought both of mine for rounds of shots, colds, and two separate dental procedures involving a general anesthetic. Each time they have seemed incredibly thorough, taking their time when investigating, then explaining everything very clearly to me afterwards. Each time my cats have gone in they have come out seemingly feeling much, much better. Whether it's taking reservations and communicating with clients over email, or getting there a little early so you can drop your sick kitty off for an all day tooth extraction before you have to be at work, they are willing to do whatever they can to make it easy for you. Even moreso to my cats - their staff is so sweet and gentle with them. And each time they go in, someone calls me the next day to check up and see how they are doing and ask if we have any questions. All in all, I've had a perfect experience, and I think my cats have too. I will go back to Dr. Kirsch for as long as we're in the area, and highly encourage anyone else to as well.

This vet was recommended to us by our animal adoption agency, and when one of my cats got sick, I brought him here. Because my cat was sick, I was able to drop by without an appointment and leave him with the staff for the day to run tests. Whenever I called for information regarding his progress, the receptionist (usually Gray) knew exactly who I was and which cat I was calling about. My cat's illness is complex so we've spent a lot of time at the Cat Hospital over the past two weeks, giving me the opportunity to interact with both Dr. Kirsch and Dr. Szymkowski. Both doctors are great, they do a great job of informing me what is going on and what I will be charged. AND, they noticed they overcharged me on one of the visits, so on the next visit I was given a credit. The entire staff show geniune concern for the well being of my cats. I very highly recommend the Cat Hospital!
