In more than two decades of dog ownership by far this is the best vet I've used. The staff REALLY care here. From the vets themselves down to the newest hires. I have seen one of the vets (Dr. Faircloth) take extra time to cure a dog's problem medically even though she could have saved herself time and the practice made more money by recommending surgery.

I have been going here for more than 30 years and have brought all but about 3 of my 30+ cats to them. I can't say enough good things about this business.

I took my dog here for 7 days of boarding after our regular boarding place was full. The staff was very nice checking my dog in. When I returned from vacation to pick my dog up he had lost a lot of weight (about 6 lbs. He is a large breed) and was shedding excessively, both signs that he was very stressed. He's been to many boarding facilities in the past and has never been stressed. He was also taking some routine medicine, which I paid extra for, but the medicine was at the same level when I picked him up as when I dropped him off. I would not recommend this facility for boarding.

We have had bad experience after bad experience at Dogwood. For instance, they have added charges to our bill without authorization, missed important health issues during checkups, and are pricey to boot. Not that price is a big issue if they were top notch. The straw that broke the camel's back is our last visit. Our dog has had numerous checkups, however, they never mentioned he had dental issues. Recently (about a week and a half ago) they told me he had to have teeth pulled and gum disease, which required cleaning. All this after he was checked with zero issues in July. All this time, I thought my dog (which I love very much) was healthy. Also, we were quoted a price, but when we brought him in for the dental, the vet tech told us the doctor performing the procedure charged more, but they did us a favor and honored the quote (different prices for different vets at the same clinic???) Needless to say, we are searching for a new clinic.
