My husband and I have had the worst experience with Lap of Love. We chose to use them because we heard so many great things about them, and we wanted our dog to be as relaxed as possible in our home before she was put down. We contacted Dr. Sara Fletcher on Wednesday and left a detailed message. She didn't return our phone call until Friday. When she did call us back, she urged us to just go on the website and set up an appointment. She didn't take the time to talk to us about the procedure or give us her thoughts on whether or not we were making the right decision. We did what she asked however, and went to the website and scheduled an appointment. My husband felt uneasy about it and decided to call Dr. Sara again on Saturday. Once again she did not return our phone call. We were scheduled for her to come Sunday at 4pm to put our dog down, and she called at 3:30 and canceled on us. She didn't seem to think it was a big deal whatsoever and left us with the promise she would call us today. We have been on an emotional roller coaster all because of this women who has up to this point done nothing but lie to us. We will never use Lap of Love again and will be sure to make everyone we know aware of her unprofessionalism and complete disregard of the sensitivity of the situation. We have now had to contact our vet (which we should have done in the first place) and schedule a time for her to come to our home tonight. Our poor dog has been suffering in the meantime and it has taken a toll on us. My only hope is for the message to reach someone thinking about using Dr. Sara - she may or may not return your call; and if she does, she may not show up when she's supposed to. Please think twice before using this company.
