Dr. Ron Murray has vetted 2 of my dogs and one of my cats over a period of 20 years. I cannot recommend him too highly. My animals are cared for with kindness and the most excellent professional veterinary care. As an owner-parent, I have always been treated with respect and kindness as well. If you truly love and value your pets, bring them here.

This is a vet for pet owners who want their pets healthy as soon as possible. Dr. Murray gets straight down to business and gets to know your pet in order to make the best diagnosis and prognosis for your animal. Dr. Murray does not have time for stupid questions; do not expect him to coddle you. He is not a nurse there to soothe you out of the stress you're feeling over your sick friend, he is a doctor there to fix it. I highly recommend this vet to pet owners who are also ready to get down to business and heal their pets. The customer with the ear drops: you said at the end of the week your dog was still scratching the infected ear. ...so you knew which one was infected. Why would it possibly be the case that the treatment would be ear drops in the other ear? If you were confused in the exam room, you should have asked then. Yes, it is true, Dr. Murray may look a little baffled when you ask something ridiculous, but he will explain things thoroughly. When our beloved pets are in danger, our minds are racing with concerns, and perhaps we don't process information as best we do when we are calm. If he talks to a pet owner like he's a third grader, it's only because he sounded like one. He will still answer your questions and move on with your appointment. Again, do not expect him to coddle you. Expect him to do his job well.

Thank you all for your responses. They really do help us improve our quality of care. Micah I am truly sorry that you felt demeaned by my demonstration of which ear is the left versus the right. I must admit, I had never been asked that question and it surprised me. In short, their left/right is the same as ours, and it does not matter which way they are facing. Again I am sorry if you were offended by my explanation, but when I shook your hand and wished you and your pet good luck in the future I truly meant it. Brae and Blaine, I apologize if you felt misled about our payment plans and our services. I tried holding checks, and carrying balances for our new clients, and then found that over 90% were not able to be collected. The only alternative was to begin offering CareCredit. If approved; which is very simple, you can receive a loan at 0 % interest for up to 12 months. If you can locate a more simple or liberal payment plan please let me know so that I can begin offering that one to our clients as well. Also, we recommend the spay/neuter clinic daily and they do a wonderful service for our community. Again thank you for your responses, and may God bless you all.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! After taking my dog into the vet, Dr. Murray determined that he had an ear infection in his left ear and proceeded to show me how to administer the ear drops in his "left ear" which I would assume to be his right ear, but after clarifying thought maybe I was incorrect. He only put ear drops in his "left" ear which lead me to believe that was the ear with the infection. After 7 days passed, my dog was still scratching his infected ear. So I took him back and was told, after being patronized by the doctor, that he put ear drops into both ears that day (but only one ear has an infection). Needless to say, I walked out, I refuse to pay them for an ear infection that should have been cured the first time but wasn't, due to the horrible veterinarian.

The Murrays have always taken VERY good care of my pets. I did feel they were a little pricey, but they offer great tips on caring for your pet at home, and even offered tips on training my new pup. They will stay on top of you and make sure you're keeping up with shots regularly, which I have to admit I have not been good about this year with my budget being so tight. I was very upset when I called once to ask for a prescription to be faxed for an online service which provided flea and heart treatment. They said they do not fax prescriptions, but a couple of days later the receptionist called back and informed me that she had done just that. Honestly, if I had been in a better financial situation at the time, I would have paid the extra money to take my pet to the Murrays. They make a living and although it can be too expensive at times, it is good quality care. That being said, I understand payment plans being an issue, but they must be sure to include a payment plan that can be offered to all of their clients; one that is safe to insure that they are not getting ripped off by many. They have taken good care of a friend of mine's pet that was very ill and, with my recommendation, were willing to see her at a discounted rate. The first visit is always discounted, but they did her a small favor by reducing the price of the meds prescribed and even saw her pet a second time for a small fee. My friend now highly recommends the Murrays. Thanks Guys!
