First time there 9/30/14, new to the area. Highly recommended by my sister. I can see why! Dr Michael was super with my Holly .She had a ultrasound done to determine pregnancy. He made me stand next to him so I wouldn't miss a thing . Very , Very caring staff. Offered to help any way , and to call if I had any questions at all! I left with money still in the bank, not like anywhere else I've ever been.

I met Dr Hill and his wife when I got married. My wife had already been using them as her vet. Our German Shepherd live to be 20 thanks to their care. We have been with them for over 20 years. Watched their son grow up and now he is a vet as well. We currently have 4 dogs and 1 cat and they are all in great shape thanks to the Hills. The comments about Mrs Hill being rude must have been made by people that haven't dealt with her as long as we have. I have as much respect for her as Dr. Hill when it comes to advice. She is direct and to the point on the care you should provide your dogs. The so called 'rudeness' can only be attributed to her saying something you don't want to hear but she definitely has your animal's best interest at heart. The entire staff are the best!!

Amazing. My Dog is SOOOOO High Maintenance and they still treat him with love and are always there whenever we need them

Dr. Hill's whole team is fantastic! They go out of their way to make sure your pets are taken care of. Each vet we've seen in the office takes their time to really check out your pet and explain to you what their doing and any concerns they have. Our dog has had to have a few surgeries and each time they've thoroughly explained all of our options so we always felt like we were making the best decision for our dog. They show more compassion and care for animals than any other vet we've been to. We have been so impressed with all three vets that even after moving 45 minutes away we continue to take our dog to their office. We have and continue to recommend them to all of our friends and acquaintances with furry family members!

Dr. Hill is a wonderful vet who loves the animals he sees. My dog looks forward to going to see him. She gets happy and excited every time we go there. He is so gentle with her that she doesn't seem to mind anything he needs to do to her. I've been going to Animal Hospital for over 12 years and have gone to several others in the Hickory area prior. I like him much better and so does my dog. He is obviously a vet because he loves animals more than money; that was not the case with the other vets. I will admit, his wife is a little overbearing, but not totally intolerable when you weigh the good with the bad. The rest of the staff is also kind and helpful. I would recommend the Animal Hospital to anyone. I would just caution that you may have a wait (or not) because it's first-come, first-serve.
