Four stars because the vets are great. Dr. Corey gets you in and out and doesn't try to sell you on any unnecessary costs. Four stars because the front desk is unprofessional. They're not warm or friendly. If you like good service and care from your vet for a very affordable price this is the place.
They're always ready to help! I took my dog there many times and the first time was the day we got her and we found out she had really bad worms. They stayed open later because we called at 4:50 and got her there five minutes before they closed. They treated her and were all really nice about it. We got her spayed here also with no complications. She was brought in at 8, picked up and brought home at 5. She healed quickly and within a day or two was back to her old self! I also called at 8am the day after she got hurt by another dog and they got me in an hour later to see a vet who was very kind about answering and addressing my concerns (even though I was overly paranoid about the situation). He also got her medicine and everything she'd need to feel better quickly. I cant stress enough how wonderful this place is and how willing they are to help your animals.
We took our puppy here for her secnd set of shots. We told the doctor who saw here she has had a runny nose and lots of mucus, symptoms of "kennel cough". he told us she is fine and needs no antibotics. Not even four days later i wake up her eyes were swoellen shut and she was having trouble breathing. so I took her to petsmart this morning and almost $400 dollars and a day hooked up to an ivy, she has phenomia. I do not recomend this vet to anyone who cares about their pet.
We have recently gotten a dog and began using this vet... I will no longer being here I am very upset with there treatment. My dog had gotten spayed today there. We picked her up from the vet at 5:20pm like they asked me to. I live 10 from there office. I had bought a cone for the dog so she wouldn't be able to lick her wounds. I padded the back seat of my car with her dog bed and lots of towels like they told me so that she would not hurt her wounds. I placed her gently in the car and she laid in her bed the entire time. When I got home I opened the door to car and looked down at my puppy(still wearing her cone), I realized that every single stitch was open and out and she was bleeding pretty badly from the now open wound. I jumped back in the driver seat and raced back to the vets office. I got there at exactly 5:45 and everyone was gone and the office was closed. I had to take her to an emergency vet clinic. I have raised and breed dogs with my family my entire life and have done about 37 spays/ neuters on puppies I have never had one get reopened the way hers did. I will not go this vet for any type of surgery again it is a waste of your money and will only cost you a fortune to have it redone.
This is in response To AH Staff's reply. I suppose it only makes sense to paint a picture that my dog was jammed between the seats and make it look as if I was a careless pet owner. Unwedged and jammed are very strong words to use. Let's paint the real picture... He was 100lbs and lifeless and slipped off of my seat while driving to your office. My friend is the one who took him out of the back seat with very little help from your staff. Thanks for the flashback on how high his temperature rose. I recall exactly what one of the vet tech's(maybe it was you) said, "his insides are cooking." Whether my dog's symptoms were normal or not, he was still in apparent distress. I still believe at the least TLC could have been applied. As for the heavy blanket that was placed on him...not true. There was a blanket in the cage in the far corner, but not on him. Was it medically professional to leave him after hours without any supervision? I will take the blame in the fact that I agreed to leave him there, but in my vulnerable state I thought Titan's best interest was being put first. Also, brownie points should be given that this facility did their job during their lunch break after we were turned down by another facility. I find it interesting that AH facility is more passionate about writing a response review online than being sympathetic to it's patients. Be advised that I still wholeheartedly believe my previous review to be true and that it only makes sense for you to paint a different picture as if the pet owner is in the wrong. A little back story on Titan: I never truly got to the bottom of his condition. He had some underline condition where he could not cool off. This is not a case of a dog being outside all day in the heat. I finally had some time off from school to bring Titan to the local park with some other friends and their dogs. It was in the mid 70's and he had water also. Within thirty minutes Titan's body could not handle normal dog activity and I rushed him to the nearest office. I am still heartbroken by his tragic death and he meant very much to this family.
