Awesome vet. Very friendly and honest. One of our dogs was put down at the emergency vet and they sent us a condolence card for him. We switched from another vet in town and South Ridge provides amazing care with excellent bed side manner.

I've been going to Southridge for about 10 yrs. I've taken my dogs and cats to them over the years. The staff, doctors and techs have all been the kindest most patient people to work with ever. Dr. Ringer and Dr. Bingham always go the extra mile to help, diagnose and give the best opinion. I've had to euthanize several cats and 2 dogs due to disease or just old age and each time they've been compassionate and never rushed. Dr. Ringer came to my home one time to care for my Golden Retriever and Dr. Bingham didn't give up on my kitten but consulted with other vets to find the underlying problem that other doctors missed. Their prices may be a little higher for some procedures but it's worth the peace of mind to know your babies are getting the best care. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere but Southridge. Thank you staff and Drs. Ringer and Dr. Bingham for giving such excellent care and having a love for what you do. Joni D

When I brought my cat in with a broken leg around Christmas, they took advantage of me. They saw how worried I was and knew I would pay anything for him, so they didn't mind upping the cost of his surgery and adding this and that to the bill. They insisted that he needed this and that shot and I said (not thinking clearly) do what ever you need for him. The shots they insisted on weren't for his leg or recovery, they were for something completely ridiculous. And they said they would keep him there a few days sedated until they could do surgery and would call us before they did it in case we found somewhere else we would like to bring him. We had found somewhere else (alot cheaper) and when we called to tell them they had already done surgery that morning without confirming it. It cost over $1,000 here. When it should have only cost $600 at the other. But ok, whatever my cat was ok and I can take him home now right? HA well they never told me that they wanted the money all upfront, they didn't want payments. So I had to leave him there until I could come up with their amount. After 3 weeks they called my girlfriend and said that they sent a letter of abandonment because we never came for him. But I did call every week to check on him. Also I had put $200 down on him when we first left him to show we would come back. But that wasn't enough apparently. They had my girlfriend in tears thinking she was never going to see him again, that they gave him away or something horrible. Told her that she had signed a paper and sent it back saying she abandoned him, but we were out of town when this supposedly happened. My girlfriend was so upset and argued on the phone and the lady was being rude and cruel to her. So I called back the next day and talked to someone else and they told me that If I could put 800 more down I could take him home. Why would one person say I can make payments but another be a complete 8itch? This place, and these people don't care about us or are animals. Just money. Which they would have gotten all of it if they were kinder.

We took our dog there several times for check ups and vaccinations the first year of her life. During a period where I worked long hours, I signed her up for a few hours per day of 'doggie daycare' in the area. Imagine my surprise when the daycare reported S. Ridge had NO record of immunizations! If it weren't for our bank records, we'd have no record at all. To make matters worse, we called the clinic thinking it would be straightened out, but must have been handled by the same 'snooty' receptionist someone else here mentioned. This behavior really made me wonder how they treated my sweet girl when we weren't there! I won't have to wonder; we promptly switched to S. Cannon - where record-keeping and kindness are consistent!

I just moved here recently and had no idea what vet to use when I adopted a rescue dog with some bad skin issues. I looked around online and several people suggested them..so I figured I would try it out. We had a good experience..did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Dodson was patient with my dog (who refused a skin scraping and snapped when trying to be muzzled). She did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. It hasn't been very long and my dog has already stopped shaking his head constantly and scratching. I am confident that this treatment will work and we will see them again in 3 weeks! I also figured I would mention how helpful their website and "pet portal" feature is. It's really nice to be able to order refills of meds online as well as book appointments. The email reminders will be very helpful.
