Dr. Taylor and his staff were very kind when I had to put my cat to sleep. Of course I expect that much too. I hesitate to use them for my future pets because I have a friend whose dog was misdiagnosed to the tune of a lot of money by Dr. T. They spent a lot of money on different food and medication only to find out from a more experienced vet that what she was diagnosed with wasn't the problem. When the dog was feeling better within 24 hours was proof that this dog wasn't being properly treated. This family spent a few months following Dr. T's advice until I convinced her to try someone else. No matter how nice someone is when it comes to my pet I prefer knowledge since my pet can't tell me what is wrong.

Staff was really nice; veterinarian was really good- polite and thorough- didn't do too much or too little. Very reasonable fee for a good service, especially considering he isn't my regular vet (was on vacation).

Dr Taylor and his wonderful crew are the best! We have been recomending his Service for over 4 years ,and we have sent him a few new clients.... Last month we took our Bayley (Schnoodle) in to have a Fatty Tumor removed from his tummy,while this bothered me more than Bayley, just like a nervous Mother I was worried about the procedure,but left him in good hands, I tried not to call during the day, as I did'nt want them to think I was being over protective,but was informed that calling to check on Bayley was perfectly normal, and to do so. When Bayley came home he was such a baby, and allowed us to pick him up and carry him out to go potty,all in all we ended up with a PRETTY SPOILED lil doggie. It is now a month later, and he is all healed up, and the hair is growing back ,and Dr Taylor did such a good job that his scar isn't even showing.... I would recommend his Office to anyone,and such a wonderful group!

I have used Jay Taylor as my vet for many years. He first practiced on the Outer Banks then went to emergency care in Chesapeake, Virginia. We missed him and welcomed him back when he returned to the Outer Banks. He is an awesome, competent, compassionate individual who always considers your pets' welfare his top priority. Some of the nicest people you could ask for. Dr Jay Taylor made me feel like I had known him for many years as did his assistant. They get down on the floor with your animal and get to know them on their level, which made my dog and I feel more comfortable. Very kind and gentle and empathetic to all our concerns.
