As soon as I walked into SEVH I was greeted by the receptionists and was welcomed into a clean, comfortable environment. My pet was seen almost as soon as I arrived and was treated well by Dr. Locklear. Dr. Locklear took the time to thoroughly examine my dog and even gave me free samples for him! The nurses were also very attentive to my pet's needs during his hospital visit. I was also welcomed to water and popcorn while I briefly waited for my appointment. I highly recommend Southeastern Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Curt Locklear is the best! I have been with him for many years and my huge pack of animals. I did, at one point, leave. I starting going to Dr. Lora Cummins. She was also great. But... she grew her practice very big and very fast. Then different doctors were there. I never saw Lora again and then she sold the practice. So, I went back to Dr. Locklear and I am so glad I did. He is the most compassionate doctor I have ever been too. He always welcomes me with a hug and also shares my sorrows. He has come to my home before for my dog to be put to sleep. I am now going through the same thing again (different dog) and he even gave me his cell phone. He always sends cards of condolences. He will come to my home again when my baby (who has bone cancer) when it's time for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge. He is the best vet all around. I don't use any of the other doctors there, so I don't know about them. I also love and only use Mickey (vet tech). He is the best ever! Also, if you have an emergency, they call you back right away. 24 hours. I doubt you will find another vet in Robeson County that will do emergencies 24/7. I would def. recommend Dr. Locklear.
Great vet to take your pet to. Great doctor to work with and very nice.
I had the worst experience at this vet and I would not recommend it to anyone, ever. The first time I took my cat in, they got the gender wrong and said he was around a year and a half in age, but was actually about 6 months, which is what I initially thought. He was a stray I rescued, so I asked the technician to test him for anything that he may need as being off the streets. After they tested him for the things they thought necessary, I asked if there were any other tests that should be done and they said no. A couple weeks later, I ended up getting ringworm and we were not sure where it came from. I took my cat in to see if it was from him, and the woman I had work with with me did some tests for the ringworm, and said he most likely did not have it, and I could keep having him around me. She also ended up finding an upper respiratory infection that she said was pretty obvious, but for some reason they did not catch the first visit. A couple days later, I was told I needed to bring my cat in again because he was most likely a carrier for ringworm, even though days before I was told he was not. And because of that, my case of ringworm worsened, one of my roommates and another one's dog then got ringworm as well. My third visit (which should never have happened because all of this should have been caught my initial visit) I was finally given instructions on how to treat the ringworm. What kind of veterinary clinic has people who can't tell the age or gender of an animal?? I'm never going to this clinic again and I don't think anybody else should either.
I've had nothing but good experiences with this vet. Dr. Locklear works with you on an individual basis to help determine the best care for your dogs. He is breeder friendly. He takes the time to get to know you as a person as well as your pets. The quality of care has always been excellent. However the front office staff can be rather slow and at times the wait can be longer than expected. Other times I have been in quickly.
