We have used Craven Animal Hospital for vet services as well as boarding. Now that we have two little puppies, it is even more important that we are comfortable with their care. We love the fact that Sir Noah (miniature Dachshund) and Miss Abby (Chihuahua) are able to board together. Everyone knows these two and seems to enjoy them almost as much as we do! Thank you for good care!!!
I have used this clinic many times in the past with OK results. This changed with my 2 recent visits to them... It seems they got a new vet who thinks euthanasia is the best treatment for your friend. First my bird, then my cat. The cat has developed a large abscess near his eye. I took him to the familiar place. After initial deworming they told me the abscess is not the cause of a concern. My cat has FIV infection and I should think about letting him go since he is already 8. Charged me 250, gave no medication and told me to return after weekend after "thinking it over". Abscess has worsened, but cat lived through the weekend. Having done a research I realized they were wrong. I took kitty to animal spa (Glenburnie Rd). Doctor there was outraged that animal was left without any treatment or antibiotics over such a long time. They opened his wound, drained and cleaned it, shot antibiotics and released. The bill was less than half of that from Animal Hospital. My friend recovered in a few hours. 3 days later he was good as new and today lives normal life. I am disgusted with the treatment at this facility and will never go back. But thank you Animal Spa! My friend is alive and grateful to you!
Brought my tiny Yorkie, Maxwell, in as a new patient today! The staff was WONDERFUL! Dr. Bobbie was thorough and reassuring and the vet tech (sorry I didn't get her name?) was so sweet and patient with both me and my scared little guy. I look forward to continuing Maxwell's care with them!
I am now a new client. I appreciated the ease of making a first apt. and the thoroughness of the exam. Their hours are also more accomadating for working parents. The staff was very friendly and were able to answer my many questions. The surgery went well and I was able to pick my pet up at the promised time. My only suggestion would be to have separate waiting areas for dogs and cats. I am not comfortable around strange dogs. :)
I have taken my pets here for years. I have always found the staff to be professional and courteous. The doctors have been knowledgeable, sympathetic. and great with my pets and me. As with any medical office they have busy times which can cause them to run behind but usually they are very prompt and they are one of the few if not only hospital to offer regular weekend hours. Great animal hospital that I will continue to trust my pet's care with.
