Very good vet were not to high but took care of my dog fast and gave me detailed instructions on how to give the medicine to my pup. Will be taking dog back here for any other treatments.
This review is long overdue but had I written it when the inciden occured I would probably would have had it deleted due to the vulgarity it would have contained. Very nice people who on the surface appear to love animals as much as I do but: Several years ago I took my pregnant black lab to Robinson Vet Clinic as I felt she was nearly full term and I wanted her to have a checkup. I was told everything looked fine and that she would most likely have the pups within the next week or so. About a week later, on the Friday before Memorial Day she went into labor. This was her second litter so she was not a rookie. After being in labor for about 2.5 hours and no pups I called Robinsons to ask for their advice. This was at 9:00am and they said to bring her by so they could check things out. So we loader her into my jeep and took her over to see the vet. We had the usual long wait (no reservations at Robinsons) as it's first come first served. When they finally got to see her they said she was having a problem with the first pup as it was large. So they gave her a shot to induce her labor again to speed things up. And also so she would be there when she delivered. So we sat and waited and waited and waited. Around noon they said she still had not delivered her first pup and that they were going to give her another of those shots to speed things up. At about 4:00 pm they came and told me that still no delivery and they were going to give her one finel shot to speed things up. Now here is the part that to this day infuriates me. At 5:00pm they came out and told me still no pups and that they were closing and would be gone over the Memorial Day weekend. That if she still didn't have the pups by midnight to call an emergency vet and that she would need a C-section to deliver the pups. If you could have seen the condition she was in when they wheeled her out to me you would have cried. We put her in the back of my jeep on a blanket and immediately called the Conover vets and explained my problem. They asked how soon I could be there as they would be closing soon. They agreed to wait for us to get there. When they looked at her they were amazed that Robinsons would allow her to leave in that condition. They right then and there did an emergency C-section and removed all 4 dead puppies and no doubt saved her life. So needless to say I no longer use Robinsons for anything other than for shots as I just do not trust them anymore. I'm sure they do a fine job for most customers and I just happened to catch them on a bad day???? But my pets are like family to me so I pay a bit more and take them to the Conover Vet clinic now.
I think John may have some financial gain from Conover Vet. Dr Robinson and his staff are excellent and would never let a dog leave in such a horrid condition unless the owner wanted to leave. don't blame the vet for you not wanting to wait.
Dr. Robinson and his staff are very good at what they do. They have really good prices, and not only that, they treat you like family!!!! If you do go, it's first come, first serve. So make sure you get there at least 30 mins early. They have been amazing with us, and really helped us when our dog passed. So if you're looking for a great Vet...Robinson is IT!
This place does a terrible job.... it's cheap, but you'd be better off taking your animals to a real vet.
