Excellent doctor who is up to date on today's medicine and who has an excellent bedside manner. Dr. Herman definitely has the client's pets as his top priority! Staff is great and friendly. Hospital is top notch! I couldn't ask for any better!
VERY EXPENSIVE!!! We relocated to the area, and are used to paying $100'ish for a vet visit when our dog has an ear infection. This appointment was $375. We are finding another vetrinarian.
Called for help and didn't seem to care about the wellbeing of my dog
This vets office is not compassionate at all when something terrible happens to your animal. I suggest finding another place to take your pets.
My previous experiences with another animal hospital lead me here to take care of my other cat after the previous one was put down. I encountered problems with this cat after a while of the other not around, and I saw Dr. Herman for the first time. He is very busy sometimes, but when you get to meet him he is very, very understanding of your pet. He tries to get your pet a thorough checkup. South Charlotte even worked things out with me when I couldn't afford it sometimes. I was very appreciative of this. It was hard to adjust to life in a state when I was far, far away from my home state. His vets and nurses took very good care of my tabby cat, and then when he had to be put down it was the hardest thing for me to do (he was 18 years old). I got comforted with hugs and I was told things would be all right. They sent a sympathy card, and follow-up calls to see how I was doing, even letters in the mail... They even called to let me know that one of their clients had kittens after mine was put down to see if I wanted one! This is one great veterinary staff, and I am so thankful I decided to go there after I was suggested by one of my neighbors, whom had a bad experience at the same previous vet. I later got another cat named Oscar and had to get all the kitty shots for him at 6 weeks old, but they took great care of him as well! I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone! They become like a second family in such a sense, the way they take care of your animals, they treat them like they are their family too! Thank you, South Charlotte Staff and Dr. Herman for all of your great deeds. Oscar is 2 years old now! (and a total brat :D ).
