I have show line German Shepherds and don't take them just anywhere. So far I am very pleased with this place. :)

Customer for over ten years, and with 45+ cats and 4 dogs always a reason to go to the vet. My pets are handled gently and appropriately based on the circumstance. I am always treated respectfully and kindly and fully informed of lab results and treatmet options so that I can make the best choices for my pets. I understand that this is a business and payment is due when service is rendered, and do my best to be a good client. We have had many sad and emotional experiences to get through given the number and ages of our pets and we have implicit trust in the guidance we receive from Dr. Staggs and Dr. Weston. I left my former vet clinic because I didn't like the way my pets we handled and didn't feel that my questions and concerns were adequately addressed by the vet.

Was there with family to put our dog to sleep. The vet/Dr. Skaggs, came in and said they would call the crematorium when the bill was settled up. -This was said just after a very large amount was paid the same day, and only a very small amount was due. This was a very long term client, and the inappropriate timing was uncalled for. No longer a client. Found a much better vet, who treats the clients tenderly and with much more empathy when hard choices need to be made.

I have lived in the Durham-Chapel Hill area and owned dogs here for 25 years and taken them to half a dozen vets over the years. I have found Jordan Lake to be the finest vet hospital in the area. The vets are well-trained, thorough, competent, as well as compassionate toward the pets and their people. They were magnificent in caring for a friends' ailing senior dog and as well as our daughter's puppy. I absolutely will not take my dog anywhere else despite the fact that it's a fairly long drive from my house.

I have used Jordan Lake Animal Hospital for seven years. Both Drs. Staggs and Weston have cared for my pets. I find the vets and their staff to be very professional and caring. They worked with me when my last dog got cancer at a very young age and became very ill, very quickly. I have always felt that both doctors are great at presenting all medical options while also being sensitive to specific needs of the pet owner. For example, they know I have young children and make sure my dogs are frequently de-wormed and checked for worms. They have talked with me about the demands of puppy training while also caring for preschool children & how to balance the need for obedience training with realistic expectations. During my last dog's cancer illness, they presented options that considered both the health of my pet as well as the financial burden to our family. I'm shocked at some of the other posts I see on this site, b/c I personally know of other pet owners who also use this practice and think highly of it. I live in Apex and I know of other vets in Cary and Apex that I have either used myself (2practices) or have had friends use (2 practices). There are problems with each of those other practices. It is worth my drive to Pittsboro to get quality care for my dog at a reasonable price. The only negative thing I can say about this practice is that I *sometimes* have to wait at my appointment times. However, the doctors are so thorough with each appointment and always make sure that all my questions are answered, that I do not mind waiting while another customer's pet is cared for, b/c I know that I will also have all the time I need with the vet(s). My suggestion: Try it for yourself.
