I've always had a very good experience with Bowman Animal Hospital. My dog is going on 14 years old and I've been going there for the last few years. The vets there are always thoughtful and call you back if you call with questions. Same goes for the people in the front office. They are very helpful in answering any questions I call with, and if they don't know, they ask one of the Vets and get back to me. The cost can be a little high at times, but it's a larger city so I expect costs to be a little higher. It's worth it for the quality of care my dog receives.

The entire team at Bowman Animal Hospital is amazing! My dogs are family and these wonderful people understand that bond and provide a level of service and care that I have never seen before. My own doctor doesn't treat me as well as the doctors and staff at Bowman treat my dogs! We have been through two rounds of heart conditions, a Dalmatian with tummy troubles, and a Chihuahua who doesn't know her size. The staff has healed my sick babies and has cried with me when I had to say good bye. And for those who suggest that they are more expensive than other places, it's true. You do pay a little more for some things, but their whole-body approach and willingness to try alternative medical practices makes it so worth it.

We have two cats and have tried several animal hospitals in the Raleigh area over the past 3 years. We live in a small apartment and noticed a flea issue a Sunday afternoon (despite treating the cats regularly), something we needed to treat immediately. We called Bowman last minute to see if we could board the cats for the night while we flea bombed and have them groomed and treated again for fleas. They were INCREDIBLY accommodating and were able to help. Since then we have boarded them on a few weekend trips and the check-in texts are my absolute favorite thing - they go above an beyond, sending pictures and updates daily.

I recently had to take our family pet Warren the guinea pig to Bowman Animal Hospital for an emergency which, unfortunately, ended with him needing to be put down. Losing a pet and a member of our family was a depressing experience for everyone but about a week after the ordeal we received a card from the staff. Each person who signed the card wrote their own personal condolence message and expressed how sorry they were that Warren, had passed away. I have never been so touched in my life. This small act of kindness and sympathy really meant the world to me and my family. I will be returning to Bowman Animal Hospital for all of our other pets because you really don't find compassion like that anymore.

All I can say is that our first visit was executed with EXCELLENCE. They took care of my 15-yr-old dog who has NEVER done ok at the vet before. I was shocked! What I am most grateful for is that they allowed me to hold my dog's head and comfort him through his entire exam, and that made all the difference to him!!! (Other vets told me to back off and that just made him so unhappy and scared.) They were kind and professional, treated us like stars, and answered my concerns with knowledge and care. -- And if the visit itself didn't go well enough, they called me the following day to see how my dog was doing and if I had more questions for the doctor. I'm SO impressed by this vet. I will absolutely take my dog and any other pets here again. Thanks Bowen Animal Hospital! :)
