I have had Dr. Stuart Hicks as a Vet. for our cat, Simone, and our two little pups, Wicket and Zoe...NEVER have we had the genuine,love and devotion to our babies , as from Dr. Stuart Hicks... We have called him on emergencies, he would have just gotten home , some 45 min. away..He returned and saved our ''Wicket'', a ''mean little Shih-Tzu, from a near fatal attack of Red Ants!!! He and his staff are absolutely the ''best of the best'' to us and our ''little ones''...It was a sad day when we moved to Tucson, ONLY because of not being able to bring ''HIM'' with us!!! One day my cat had a urinary tract emergency, I had actually witnessed him straining to go to the bathroom so I wanted care immediately. Now I live not even 5 minutes away from this place, hell, I could have walked there! Well, not wanting to waist any time I called Hicks, and a lady answered the phone and I told her about my sick cat and informed her I was bringing him down there to be checked out immediately. Now, the lady on the phone was like "ok." So we loaded the cat up and went down there and walked in, ready to be seen and get something to make my poor cat feel better. There was a lady in there, the one who had answered the phone. She was sitting at her desk hovering over a word search. When we entered the clinic, she looked up at us with no emotion what so ever. I informed her that I had just called about my cat and we were ready to see the vet. This lady then says to us: "Oh well I'm the only one here. The vet went home today at 11am. Sorry, if you had asked on the phone I could have told you." Now I looked at her for a moment. I'm not one to cause a scene. I just said ok and we walked out. I would not recommend anyone go to this place, seeing as there are total goons that apparently work there. Why was the place even open that day if there was no vet in? Its a VETERINARIAN clinic. What's the point of being open if there is NO VET THERE? And as for the lady telling me "If you would have asked on the phone I could have told you the vet wasn't here", COMMON SENSE would tell you that if the vet isn't in, couldn't you tell ME over the phone that he wasn't there so I wouldn't waist my precious time coming in?? For god's sake, I told this noob over the phone I had a cat emergency. Did it ever cross her mind to tell me the vet wasn't there? I'm sure glad I didn't live far away, because if I did and I came all the way out there for nothing, I would have let her have it. In conclusion, from what I have experienced, do not go here because apparently the vet is never there and the people working there are no help whatsoever.
