I joined their wellness plan worse mistake I ever made. I have two small dogs all they care about is MONEY and more MONEY. Tell me that prescriptions will be more at Sam's or Walmart they want 30 dollars Walmart wants 4 dollars or another trick is to ignore you said you wanted a prescription and charge you for the meds and say they can't take them back they already cut them in half. The last straw was today my dogs have dry eyes the new vet I chose something like Imsome she's better than anyone of them their. Gave me a prescription for my dogs said they had dry eyes and to put eye drops in to take care of the problem, well when I went home couldn't find the eye drops (over the counter ones) so I called them and ask if I could use Artificial Tears the lady who answered the phone said she would check with a vet. After waiting she comes back and said very rudely that since I declined a diagnosed test that they couldn't prescribe anything over the phone I explained that all I wanted to know is if it was safe to use that my vet had gave me a prescription for an antibiotic so she had diagnosed my dog. She insisted I didn't get the test that i could come in then they would tell me after the test. Finally I had had it told her my wellness plan was up in six months and I would never come back their again. I called North Wake Animal Hospital told the lady on the phone my dogs weren't patients of north wake just wanted to know if Artificial Tears would hurt them they have dry eyes she said let me check with the vet, she came back and said the vet said yea I could use them but if it didn't help to bring the dog in. Call back Banfield told them what the lady at North Wake said and then told her in six months they could kiss my ass goodbye. Don't use these money grubbing AH all they are after is money they have proven it time and time again to me.. . If I could have left no stars I would have.................................
If you consider your pet a part of the family, go to a real vet. If you don't care, give them a try. You could get lucky and get a good vet at this place. I've heard one person say a vet at another location saved the paw of their dog instead of amputating, they cut out some cancer. But my experience and several others i have talked to, plus tons of reviews online, indicate this is mostly a money making enterprise with inexperienced vets at many facilities. My dog suffered with extreme pain due to dental health because they didn't tell us how bad it was or that we had any options. At a real vet, they did the dental cleaning, pulled teeth, and our baby is happy and living a quality life again. Shame on those people at Banfield for pretending to be veterinarians!!!
Don't bother with this place. My first experience with them was a phone call. I was specifically told something on the phone that turned out to be untrue. The people working there obviously don't know what they are talking about. I found this out the hard way a day later and after a considerable amount of inconvenience. The response for my inconvenience was not how sorry they were, but just we are right and you are wrong. Don't waste your time here. These people don't care about you or your pets!
The nurses and Vets have always been great to us there, we've been going for just about 3 years now with our pup. We signed up for the wellness plan and it really works great. They also do a great job on dental cleanings. The only issue we ever has is if you make an appointment, expect it to start about 15-20 minutes late every time so just keep that in mind and you'll be fine. Would definitely recommend.
Friendly to get your business, then you see the REAL Banfield!!! Ignored by the nurses/reception was only our first visit and doctor seemed distant! We decided to give them another chance. Again,... EXPENSIVE, Uncaring, No Enthusiasm, Inattentive, Poor Communication, Lack of Eye Contact and you WILL wait without an update! Even with an appointment! Made to feel as if we were wasting THEIR time and we waited an hour, then walked out. WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!
