Our family has been with Dr. Manning since 1997. We are six dogs in over the years now and have no plans to leave his practice-- even after moving further away. His approach is outstanding; he will not do unnecessary testing! The office is pleasant, clean, and you are never locked into a teeny room. There is always a door open (dutch) in case you need anything. They are flexible with emergencies and are just genuinely happy to see you! Great practice. I highly recommend it!
Wake Forest Animal Hospital is by far the best veterinary experience we’ve had in our dog’s entire 9.5 year life! The sedation grooming process was significantly faster and easier on the dog than anywhere else we’ve ever been. Everyone was wonderful. We would never think of taking Shiloh anywhere else! We got Shiloh when he was 1.5 years old. He had been abused and could not even be petted on the head. He has what is called “fear aggression,” meaning he gets aggressive when afraid. We cannot groom him ourselves due to his fear of objects coming near him, especially noisy hair trimmers. As a result, Shiloh has always required sedation grooming. In the past, we have had some very bad experiences with over-sedation by a Youngsville NC veterinary hospital. So much so that on one occasion, Shiloh was unable to jump down out of the car and the next morning had to be coaxed with food and still had trouble exiting the car. And that was after dropping him off at 8 am and picking him up at 5 pm. When we went to Wake Forest Animal Hospital, we were able to meet with Dr. Manning ahead of time to share our concerns. He worked with us to arrange a way for us to drop off Shiloh later in the morning, closer to the actual grooming time, which was a huge help in alleviating Shiloh’s anxiety. After our meeting, we understood why Dr. Manning had been so highly recommended. We dropped Shiloh off at 10 am and had no sooner gotten home and had ½ a cup of coffee than Wake Forest Animal Hospital called at 10:40 am to say Shiloh was ready for pick up. We were amazed at the short time frame! When we arrived, Shiloh was awake and alert and had no trouble getting into or out of the car. We were ecstatic! At Wake Forest Animal Hospital, the Vet Tech told us Dr. Mullin determined that Shiloh required less sedation and that Shiloh was calm and awake throughout the entire grooming process. The Vet Tech said the staff and groomer were all calm, so Shiloh was calm. In retrospect, we think that Wake Forest Animal Hospital’s name even conveys that they are focused on the animals, as opposed to other clinics who refer to themselves as “Veterinary Hospitals.” We wish we had known about Wake Forest Animal Hospital sooner.
Dr. Manning is an outstanding vet. We started taking our boxer Morgan here as a puppy (11.5 years ago) and after moving to Apex, we continued to drive to WF because we love Dr. Manning and Morgan trusted him so much. Sadly, we lost our Morgan last week, but if we ever have another pet, we will definitely drive the extra distance to go to Wake Forest Animal Hospital because of the quality care and wonderful staff at the hospital. :) Thank you for all you did for our baby over the years.
Dr. Mullin is the best. We had taken our cats to her for years. She was very good with the cats and made us feel like she really cared for them. Dr. Mullin was always very thorough and took her time. She was very compassionate when we had to put Farley and Keiser to sleep. I would highly recommend her
We live in north Raleigh and had taken our Lhasa Apso to Dr. Manning at Wake Forest Animal Hospital for over 17 years. Their staff was always friendly and helpful and happy to answer any questions about pet care. Dr. Manning was great with our dog and helped us over the years with different issues and also performed 2 surgeries with positive results. I would highly recommend this pet hospital and vet to anyone looking for vet care.
