I adopted a cat about a year ago through the Animal Hospital of Waynesville. It was an unfortunate adult female who, having been spayed and declawed by its previous owners, had been either lost or abandoned. She was rather traumatized, afraid of everything, especially men. This lovely ginger cat would not have lived much longer but for the doctor and the staff who provided her with excellent professional and loving care. She is now a happy, trusting companion who has taken over my life ... with my willing participation. I have great admiration and gratitude for the Animal Hospital of Waynesville and for all its staff.
The doctors and staff at The Animal Hospital of Waynesville are the best, hands down. Excellent customer service, a professional and caring staff, and doctors who are knowledgeable and compassionate. Not only is this is a full-service animal hospital... they genuinely care about their clients and patients. They are AHAA Certified...the Gold Standard in Veterinary care.
Loving, caring, competent--been with them 20 years-dogs and cat- and they feel like family.
I adopted a miniature schnauzer from brother wolf and within a couple days the dog developed a rough cough. This was the only place that could see him on a Saturday so I took him there. I told them that brother wolf had a free visit voucher but they weren't on the list and asked them if they'd honor it. They said they couldn't this time because it's not a checkup but they could honor it when I came back in 2 weeks for the checkup on my dog. The lady at the desk said she called the main office and they said yes they could do that. So after I spent $200+ there that day I went home thinking this was a good place. I had my mother take him back today for the checkup at 10. The people there had no clue about honoring the voucher and she sat there 45 min before they could figure anything out. Then they took 2 other animals before us that had later appointments and she continued to sit there for another 30 min before we just said forget it and left. This animal hospital seriously lacks communication and organization we won't be back.
We have taken our cats to Dr. Hammett and her staff since 2004. Their care is always excellent. We also appreciate the loving concern they demonstrate. The recent upgrades to become a certified feline facility are impressive.
