Dr Mike is awesome! He has treated our Golden Retriever and is right on point every time. The staff is very pleasant and we have nothing but good things to say about Junaluska Animal Hospital. Their office manager is event top notch!

We recently had to visit this clinic on three occasions while at our vacation home in Waynesville. First with an injured chipmunk the dog had found, second with our cat, and thirdly with one of our dogs. We were very impressed with the caring and helpful staff, the cleanliness of the clinic, and the reasonable charges for services. Dr. Mike and another vet took their time in explaining the diagnosis and treatment needed for the animals and made sure to answer any question we had. It is obvious that the entire staff truly enjoys working at the clinic and even more, that they have a sincere love for animals! We would highly recommend this clinic!

I own a 4 year old golden retriever mixed breed who has experienced stomach issues since puppyhood and with the problem continuing after 2 previous vets, we saw Dr. Jeffery Alt for our first visit September 2014. Dr. Alt was EXCELLENT, very knowledgeable, kind, caring, not rushed and the problem was soon resolved. Dr. Alt was great with my dog who is very stressed at the vet and explained everything to me as well as called me each time with tests results. The front desk receptionists Lori, Lacey, Tracey and Phyllis are kind, patient and helpful, which I am sure is not easy in this very busy practice. The vet techs are extremely sweet and caring. Practice Manager Suzanne is wonderful! She made contacts for the prescription pet food and called me several times just to check on us. I highly recommend Dr. Alt and his staff for all pet needs! L. I took a stray cat I found to JAH per referral by Sarge's to see if the kitty had a microchip. The staff was so supportive and the person who checked for the chip also weighed him and checked him over and told me his sex and that he had been neutered and appeared in good health considering he had been roaming our neighborhood for 2 weeks before I was able to catch him. There was no chip so I brought him home to FL where he has found a new home with a loving family. Thanks JAH for caring.

I chose Junaluska at the recommendation of my neighbor (I am a part time resident). When looking up their phone number online, I saw the negative comments posted, which of course, gave me doubts. I am so happy I listened to my neighbor. Junaluska Animal Hospital took great care of my sick papillon, same day, lab on premises, reasonable prices. Front desk staff was very efficient, and the vet tech and doctor were compassionate, thorough, and took time to address my concerns. While waiting in the lobby (short wait) I struck up conversation with a "local" who also praised this facility. I wanted to share my positive experience as a Thank You to Dr. Alt and staff, and a recommendation if you are in the area needing a vet, as I was.
