My dog was chewing on a stick this morning (a Saturday) and his tooth broke and was loose in his gums. He was shaking and crying, so I called nearby vets to find a place open on a Saturday. Fortunately, Dr. Allen was open and close to where we live and highly rated. When we arrived, he didn't beat around the bush or require any paperwork before helping my dog. Within five minutes, my dog was fixed up and back to smiling, wandering around, and smelling things. Dr. Allen let us know he answers questions and gives tips over the phone. He seemed to enjoy his work, care about my dog and us, and was so generous that my fiance and I decided he would be our vet from now on. A scary experience with my dog turned into an amazing, surprising delight. Thanks Dr. Allen!
Dr. Allen is extremely caring and understanding and takes care of poor customers with just as much time and dedication as rich ones. He offers practical and logical solutions as well as expensive procedures and looks after the whole health of the animal. He has helped me to pick better pet food, and even to choose feeding bowls that better suit my pets. He never over charges- he probably undercharges... and he really cares about animals.
Several years ago I brought in my cat because she was having an allergic reaction to a new cat food and was losing her fur. She hissed and spit as she was being handled and I was told that if she were to bite him, he would euthanize her...
I came to Dr. Allen about a RAGING flea infestation left over from the previous tenant to my rental that was making my cat, my kids, and my lives HELL. Dr. Allen gave incredible advice for dealing with the infestation using no poisons in my home, a minimum of pesticides on the cat, and inexpensively. When I say that we were overrun, I'm not exaggerating - my cat was so miserable she'd stopped eating completely, my kids were being bit constantly, and I've been spending all day and night vacuuming and cleaning. Ran a flea comb over the cat just now, and I pulled off close to 100 dead or dying fleas; her sleeping area, which had been collecting hundreds of eggs in each 12 hour span between vacuums, had only 7 this morning, after a full 24 hours of no vacuum! In short, Dr. Allen is my hero.
I drive 45 minutes with my cat to see Dr. Allen. There is no other veterinarian like him. He is truly the pet whisperer!
