I have taken my pets here for many years and I would not go anywhere else! The staff treat you like family and they treat my pets as if they were their own. They show compassion and respect towards me an and my babies! I have had to say goodbye to two of my cats recently and the technicians and Vets were so supportive and even called me after a few days to check on me.

Dr. Hoffman is amazing. He has accurately diagnosed every condition my cats and dogs have been throug - and literally has x-ray hands. He can feel the size and shape of a tumor (we have had a number of them with our group), and I think he knows everything there is to know about animal medicine. I have taken our animals to a variety of vets over the years and he is without a doubt the best. He loves animals and spends as much time with you as you need to make an informed decision. On top of that, he lets you make the decision and doesn't push you into expensive procedures if they don't make sense. I have never used the boarding and grooming side commented on below (which is separate from the vet side from what I understand), but highly recommend Dr. Hoffman.

I have been using Winston Vet Hospital for over three years. The people there are the most wonderful and compassionate caring individuals I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. My dogs (all eight of them) have been treated, groomed, boarded and cared for by loving professional and caring individuals . I cannot say enough about this group of people who are all dedicated to the well fare of the animals placed in their care.Over the past month i have lost two of my dogs to old age and the way in which they were both treated by the doctors and staff at their end stage care made a difficult time easier for my babies and me. I cannot thank them enough for always being there:)

To begin with, the receptionist is extremely, extremely rude. No people skills whatsoever. When I called, I gave her a quick description of what was going on with my dog to see if it was really necessary to make an appointment. Usually the vets I've gone to in the past have very helpful receptionists that have helped me avoid the cost of a vet visit if it was an easy fix. She was really short with me and said I needed to come in. I waited for TWO HOURS past my appointment time to see the vet. Neither the staff nor the vet was even remotely apologetic about my wait time. He then was barely helpful and rambled on and on only to explain in a long-winded fashion that I really didn't need to come in at all. He did literally nothing for me. And the meds are either extremely overpriced there, or the vet has no idea what the med pricing is, because the quotes were outrageous. I'm a tolerant person. Even one apology for the extremely long wait and I probably would have let it slide. All that being said, the grooming services seem to be fine if you try to avoid talking with the receptionist. Like I said, she's really mean, and I've caught her on multiple days. Always that mean.

Worst boarding experience of my life. The office is completely unorganized - I had a payment voucher faxed over 3 times, after verifying the fax number. It was claimed that none of them were ever received. It took numerous phone calls to clear the matter up. They even threatened turning the issue over to a collection agency even though it is clear that their fax machine transmits directly to their garbage can. I hope to stay in W-S long enough to see them go out of business.
