I called because my cat's belly had become quite large. They told me to come in right away. They got him into XRAY and thought he had a ruptured bladder. They said he had to get surgery so I approved that and then they called shortly after and said he had a feline intestinal disease and it was fatal. So, we had to put him down. The office staff and doctor were consistently kind, caring and considerate of my feelings and handled me and my cat with love and care. I appreciate their sensitivity and will continue to bring my pets here!

I took my pet into Pinkerton's today & met Dr. Ron Thunshelle & was extremely dissatisfied in every aspect of the appointment!!!! Besides being a pet owner, I am a Professional Secret Shopper. I had been to Pinkerton's a few times before & have always had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lani Vincent & Dr. Michelle Schoenberg!! However, with this visit it was like day & night - from one extreme to the other, it was absolutely unbelievable!!! Dr. Thunshelle spoke to me in a condescending manner & was really quite critical in what should have been a very routine, simple check up for my pet. His educational background was clearly of much greater importance to him than the treatment of my pet or courteous customer service towards me. I asked a few questions & voiced a couple of concerns about my pet & he put me off, asking condescending questions instead & making inaccurate assumptions. I went there because I needed thoughtful, educated advice & genuine care & concern for my pet; that is not at all what I or my pet received. Unfortunately, that visit ruined it for me, I will Never Go Back There, for fear that I will have to bear his ridicule & disapproval again - it was not only very unprofessional, but, totally uncalled for as well!!

I have taken both my dogs into Pinkerton Animal Hospital and had excellent service. With the oil boom and so many people moving into the area you have to expect a line as there is everywhere out here. I am not from here so I feel I have a broad range of experience in vet services. They are kind and care about the animals that is a number one in my book, they are not a shelter or a dump your animal care site for when you can't or won't pay therefore, if you are willing to pay for services and are patient you will get excellent care from this clinic. All 7 Veterinarians that work here are good people and deserve the consideration from the public. They also have someone on call at all times and are willing to help your pet 7 days a week 24 hours if need be, this will cost as it does anywhere. Even over scheduled and busy these people try to help everyone and I for one am happy for the trying effort they put forth. For all of the people who don't want to pay and want to complain go someplace else if you can find one, nobody else will even take new clients or try. I am a happy client and intend to keep going to Pinkerton for the duration of my time in North Dakota.

My family has had numerous pets to Pinkerton over the years. We have always had good experiences. Recently I brought my daughters 2 labs to ND from PA. Our male lab has seizures and they were very prompt in getting him an appointment and refilling his prescription. In fact I bring my dogs to Pinkerton's from out of town as I have not had the best experience in our city. The issue is not the veterinarians it is getting past the office staff.

I recently took my one year old mix to Pinkerton because of an ear infection. After waiting about 30 minutes we were brought into the room where we met a male vet ( I forget his name.) We explained that our dog has had rough vets in the past and that she is very nervous being in the vet's office. He said that he understood and went directly to get a muzzle. This of course raised her anxiety and caused her to stiffen up and being to wine loudly. He decided that he didn't like this and had a vet tech come in to try to hold her. I explained that it would help the situation and her if I could hold her down so that she felt a little more comfortable. He objected and after fighting with her for about 15 seconds decided to take her in back where I heard her screaming and she came back with bloodshot eyes and had wet herself she was so nervous. After all of this he states that she is a mean dog and to never come back. I've never been so mad that I peed myself? She's a great dog and has never shown any aggression towards adults or children. I do no think that anyone who cares about their pets should bring them to this place. Unfortunately, this is Minot and they are the only one open.
