While I'm rating the service and staff with five stars, that's not a reflection of the circumstances and outcome of the visit. My wife and I brought our 9-year-old corgi in on New Year's Eve because she had stopped breathing. Mila was fighting lymphoma for about 16 months, and our family vet had recently given us a warning that we could be nearing the end. She had undergone chemo and achieved remission a couple of times along the way, but this last battle was too much for her. Mila's lymph nodes were so swollen, she wasn't breathing properly and was severely lacking oxygen to her body. We called the clinic from home, and they told us to bring her in. As soon as we walked into the building, the staff rushed her to the back, started CPR and got an oxygen mask on her. Over the next three hours, the staff was informative and upfront about Mila's condition and all costs associated with treatment. For awhile, it seemed she would do fine there overnight, under close observation of a nurse assigned exclusively to her. Dr. Scott Yonker was very realistic about what could happen, but he also offered us hope and showed some optimism about possibly getting her home after a couple of days. Ultimately, Mila showed signs of kidney failure, had fluid in her lungs, and she stopped breathing a couple times while we were there. We ended up having to make a very difficult decision, but it didn't come as a surprise to us. It was something that my wife and I had talked about in the past and even just a few hours earlier. The staff let us go back and see her, hold her, kiss her and say goodbye. We stood by Mila's side until the very end, and the staff was so understanding, kind and compassionate. I'm so appreciative of everything Dr. Yonker and the staff at Animal Emergency Clinic did for our Mila that night. Even though it was one of the most difficult situations I've ever been through, I was very pleased with the level of care these extraordinary people provided for our four-legged family member the short time she was there.

We had to have our obviously terminally ill cat put to sleep there recently, but of course, we wanted the vet to give him one last look to make sure we were correct in our assumption. A couple minutes later, and our assumption was correct. They didn't tell my wife anything about the pricing; just that cremation would be $48. The final tally? $203. Absolutely ridiculous, and I will do everything I can in the future to keep my distance from this place. Their job should be to keep the customer aware of the exact pricing, especially at this very trying time. Now, not only have I lost a close member of the family, I am out a ridiculous amount of money. Two star sis pushing it.

I just got home from there.. my kitty stepped on a fishing hook and they were so kind and fast it was over in a minute and she is perfectly happy now. I was so afraid for her and they were so nice.

I have brought my dog, Ewok, in to this facility twice because he loves to eat things that dogs shouldn't eat. Both times the staff was absolutely amazing- they were calm, collected, knew how to get the information I wanted and needed and were straightforward with everything that had to be done and how much I would be paying. Both times I saw them deal with a thousand problems at once- whether it be having people coming in because they had to put their companions down, and dogs that had been run over or had big wounds. They treated each person and animal with the respect of a family member. I really appreciate all the hard work they do. I'd recommend them any time.
