Michelle and her clinic saved my dog, Rock, but it was more than just the superb medical care, it was the caring! I live in North Platte and was unable to be there as many of their pet owners can, but Rock was well loved by all. One vet tech (Cassie?) started eating her lunch with Rock when they thought he was becoming depressed. Dr Michelle went the extra mile and took Rock home with her for Thanksgiving so he could have a little turkey and LOTS of TLC! His recovery has been slow, but he was so severly injured I did not think he would recover. He now has a dog walker and goes for rides in the car and is waiting the arrival of a new "brother" who is coming off the tracks in Texas. I am hoping that Big Red Ted will inspire Rock to run in the yard more, even though he chased a car coming down the back alley the other day (I never thought I would see that again!) I don't think Rock will ever be the once strong greyhound he was, but he is alive and moving.. all thanks to Backlund Animal Clinic.

Dr. Michelle did a FANTASTIC job. Our JRT had a limp/muscle problems after a surgery and we were afraid he would never walk normally again. Dr. Michelle's treatments and the care our dog received from her and her staff made a world of difference. Instead of a lame dog, we now have one that can run like the wind again!! Since Pip moved to New Mexico (military move) she gave us suggestions, help, exercises to help him progress. You can't go wrong with this clinic/Drs. and staff.

Great staff, Great Vet! We took both of our baby girls here and they did a wonderful job. They completed a thorough exam, and explained everything to me. I had both dogs' teeth cleaned and their teeth look fantastic. I was amazed at how little the incision was for our youngest dog who was spayed. Her recovery time was quick! They called the next day to check on her as well. It is great knowing our loved pets are in good hands when they need preventative or emergency medical treatment!

As a military couple, we have lived in several different locations. Backlund Animal Clinic is hands-down the BEST group of veterinary professionals we've ever experienced. The entire staff goes above and beyond for you and your pets. Anne, Janet, Cassie, and Sarah are a great group of animal lovers who are happy to help in any way. We are so grateful for Dr. Michelle who has improved the quality of life (immensely!) for our senior arthritic dogs who have serious knee problems. She is amazing at canine rehabilitation and really takes the time to explain all of the options and helps to choose a way-ahead that's best for you, your dog, and your budget. Dr. Nels is an exceptional vet who is truly dedicated to his clients. He’s never too busy to return a call or answer a question. He stayed late once so that we could get our cat seen before leaving town and the other day I stopped by to buy a bag of dog food and he carried it out and loaded it into my car :). That’s the kind of service you get at Backlund. I can’t say enough about this group. Your pets will be in great hands!

Dr. Backlund is taking care of my second generation of cats now and has done a great job of keeping them healthy. The care and concern for their well being has been wonderful. On my first generation, the two cats lived to be 19 and 20. Due to the care he provided.
